The terrorists should be brutally attacked until they have one demand request: "Make it stop."

There's no hope whatsoever. Completely idiotic and totally senseless.

Good gravy, get a grip! If a slanted news piece from a vermin-sympathetic news agency makes you wet yourself, I'd hate to be next to you in a foxhole....

Lets be realistic. There is no way to pacify these "people." They are Godless flesh gulloms conjured up by Satan to undo the good of man. The best way to negotiate is at the pointy end of the bayonet.

Sounds like Al Sadr is taking the Aguinaldo route too.

The historic parallel was just too good to pass up. Sometimes it pays to have had in-laws in the Marine Corps during the Insurrection ~ lots and lots of lessons still to be learned there.

Sounds, too, like the War College improved lesson plan that started 15 or 20 years ago continues to pay off. I believe that's when they went back to Von Clausowitz and Sun Tsu to get a good grounding in fundamentals.

Aguinaldo AND Sadr are, of course, "fundamentals", and negotiations play a part bringing such people around to a reasonable position. For further private reading along this line "Bandits of the Marsh", a series of ancient Chinese folk/adventure stories, printed by Indiana University Press, would be a good start.

Not true my friend.

They would very easily be pacified IF we were to change our religious beliefs, drive our economy down to 5th century standards, toss all advances out the window, one of which allows humankind to achieved a God given ability to live to more than double the span of the 5th century, dumb ourselves down to their level, give up ALL personal freedoms, live without any comforts of life which we now have grown so accustom to, and cover the faces of ALL females.

Then IMO, they would be sated.

No my dear friend. Terrorist are the pawns. We are there to finish a job and we will do it. Chess as many have said is played, but we have a queen moving while they lost theirs.

I have a lot of kids running around here, so is hard for me to concentrate, but once again, stay calm and be cool.

GWB will not allow media and politicians to dictate outcome of this war. There is only one out come; terrorist are dead on arrival simple as that.

Ok there is war zone going on right now in my house :}}}}}

Happy Easter guys, and please don't worry too much, everything will be fine

God Bless America

So, you think that "negotiating" with thugs and having a "cease-fire"so that they can regroup and save their lives is a good, positive thing, huh? In other words, getting wobbling knees and caving in to trash like this is cool, huh?

Write this down and remember it. This particular incident marks the downfall of the United States. I have seen it in Korea, South Vietnam, Iran and now Iraq.

I thought that this administration "got it." They still don't "get it." These people want to kill us and dominate the world and all they understand is strength. They see this willingness to "negotiate" and have a "cease-fire" as weakness. This is especially true when THEY are laying down the terms of the "cease-fire" and having the "cojones" to make demands while on the brink of death. Apparently, you don't "get it" either.
