We've hit the bottom of the barrel here. Since when do we plea with the people we defeated? Someone in the administration had better grow a set of cajones real soon.

wtf is thisI'd wager biased reporting.

I watch the news conference this morning and it was NO PLEA made...it was a demand, decide to be decent human beings or suffer the consequences...simple as that. where do they get this stuff??? In fact the General dressed down several reporters for their bias questions!

Is "surrender or die" a request for a ceasefire?

I'm sure the TITLE is misleading since it's coming from a Loser paper.

PleaThis is just the liberal media again. We are still kicking their butts in Fallujah, even though there is a so-called cease-fire.
If anyone is interested in engaging in a interesting discussion about why there is a cease-fire to begin with, I'm all ears. Personally, I'm on the side of leveling Fallujah. I swing back and forth on the idea on whether we should let women and children leave the city first. Is there anyone that can convince me to me more inline with what is happening in Iraq at the moment?

How the eff should I know? I know the Post will write headlines in the manner of William Randolph Hearst's newspaper empire, but clearly the administration needs to quit fiddle-effing around and either S or get off the pot.

Cease Fire???? How about you guys lay down your weapons and we won't incinerate you with a few MOAB's? How's that for a cease fire agreement!!!
These lunitics only understand fear and strength...kill them all, I say...they will only look to cause more trouble in the future...they all need to be room temp.

Maybe Bush is taking asking the Saudis what to do. Every military person I heard on the radio this am and pm, to a man, said we needed to kick ass and flatten the place. We'll know we're winning when THEY beg for a ceasefire. At which point we should hit them again, harder.

Meanwhile, the military asked Saturday morning for an across-the-board ceasefire in the rebellious town of Fallujah to allow continuation of negotiations there by U.S.-backed Iraqi delegates. The Iraqis who want a stable, democratic Iraq better understand one important fact...they are better off with these "insurgents" dead. Do not negotiate with them.

We've hit the bottom of the barrel here. Since when do we plea with the people we defeated? Someone in the administration had better grow a set of cajones real soon.I don't know whether to agree with you or not. Part of me says: "This is not big deal; these are the isolated acts of a handful of thugs and murderers." The other part says: "This is serious; Bush needs to cut his vacation short and really get engaged with the matter before it gets out of hand."
The more news I read today, the more I favor the latter. This is not exactly the time for a long weekend in Crawford.
To: Heff
Actually, that's about what we said. Surrender or die. That's not a "plea" for anything - but leave it to the *ssholes in the media who would like to see dead Americans lined up for a photo op...

>>>This is not exactly the time for a long weekend in Crawford. You people need to stop overreacting to everything that takes place in Iraq. Have some faith.
"From the first days of the war on terror, I said our nation would face periods of struggle and testing. As the June 30th transition approaches, we will continue to see a test of wills between the enemies of freedom and its defenders. We will win this test of wills, and overcome every challenge, because the cause of freedom and security is worth our struggle."

I made the satement some time back that we ought kick butt with avengeance and not use anything but the best of our sure fire war winning Daisey cutters and other ground leveling toys we have in our arsenal before we get so far behind that we could lose what coalition support we have and not have the fervor it will take for such an endeavor to be successful.
Once will be enough to make our critics shut up but don't stop until we are the only ones left standing.
