More like where they can command most of the time of the teacher, resulting in the neglect of the other students. I've seen it in my child's classes. Dumb everyone down even more.

but this is typically leftist -

bring everyone down to the lowest common denominator to make everything "fair"

The article supposedly pointed out her conservative leanings, but on this subject, she is a leftist.

Perhaps it was a play to the leftist judges.

It would be more accurate to say, where they can join the student who once was in special education and has now been mainstreamed and the 504 kids who together with the Gifted and Talented take up 85% of the teachers time making it impossible to teach the vast majority of kids in the middle. The average Joe losses again.
