CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- A Clarksville day care's license was revoked permanently after its operator admitted to making a sex video near the child-care area, according to a Department of Human Services report.
The report said children at the in-home day care had access to the den where Angels R Us operator Susan Deering and another female employee were videotaped having sex in January.
Deering has denied any children were at the facility when the video was made and maintained the adjoining door was locked. DHS revoked the license Friday, said department spokeswoman Michelle Johnson.
"Sexual behavior is not something kids need to be seeing; it's harmful, and it messes them up," Anne Turner, DHS director of licensing, said Monday.
Investigators found the video and other adult materials in Deering's bedroom during an unannounced visit March 4.
Deering said she and her husband, Steven Deering, and another couple that included the female employee "swapped" partners on Jan. 23.
She told investigators the video was filmed at 2:30 a.m., but investigators say it was filmed at midnight while a child was at the day care, which provided around-the-clock care.
Department of Children's Services is investigating to determine if any of the children were abused or neglected, said spokeswoman Carla Aaron.
Angels R Us has until Monday to appeal DHS's decision. The day care can apply for reinstatement one year after revocation

(I voted for this tagline... before I voted against it.)
"Susan Deering and another female employee were videotaped having sex in January."
Girls just wanna have fu-un.
I give this case 5 minutes before some homosexual "rights" organization comes in swinging.
GLAAD will probably issue some statement that revoking the license was a "hate crime."

In a healthy society, taking away their license would be a moot point. The marketplace would put them out of business.
What I found interesting was the name of the day care center. It at least implies a knowledge of divine life .... but little else apparently.
Parents have sex in the other room at home--it's just that they (hopefully) hide it. I'd say it was in bad taste--but not criminal unless negligence or child abuse was involved.

Did I read your post right or are you really that dense? I'm speechless.
This incident demonstrates an amazing lack of maturity and judgment, which leads me to wonder about the quality of care the children were really receiving.
