Have you all seen fv's info (esp. #8, 38, & 42) on the court hearing today? Judge Baird's decision will be faxed to parties later. #37:
"This is going to drag on it appears as per Schiavo v. Jeb Bush....it's always appropriate to contact national media, State and U.S. Congressman. We must keep the public pressure up and work on public awareness of Terrisfight.org. Thanks for your contributions."

FL engineer echoes the need to keep heat on in post #60.

pc93 gives contact info for Ashcroft, Medicaid fraud, and White House -- yes, Medicaid fraud -- active discussion going on there w/new info coming out.

I remember reading the article about this. He had stated that he didn't want to revisit Terri's law by looking into Bill 692 because he was "hoodwinked" into supporting Terri's law because of email he received from people that did not live in Florida but wrote on behalf of Terri's law. He was quoted as regretting his vote in favor of Terri's law.

Part of his problem is that he was on the committee for the Right to die laws that are now being looked at and he considered that law to be his legacy.
snippet from an article:

State Senate President James King, who had initially been the principal obstacle to enactment of the first "Terri's law," said in an interview with the Tampa Tribune that he would not allow the bill to leave committee and come before the full Senate for consideration. "I don't want anything on the floor in that Senate that is going to give platforms to people who want to roll back the hands of time for whatever reason," King said. "As soon as you put something on the floor, as well-intended as it may be, anybody can amend it. Then all of a sudden I'm sitting there facing a bill or bills that can dismantle what I consider to be my legacy.''

I have tapes of most of Felos' press conferences INCLUDING his direct accusation that the family criminally assaulted Terri's arms and the crazy scenario that was FABRICATED as it does not match up with the family's last visit with Terri that Monday.

The Clearwater PD are still investigating and as per hubby during the investigation of NOTHING, the family cannot see Terri - 3 weeks running.

970 wfla radio just did a news blurb about the hearing yesterday. Nothing new to post but they're a little late since Terri's in their market. Further, they have HOSPICE for an ad client so it must be kinda touchy to mention Terri. What's Hospice's new slogan? "It's Time to Talk About It". Because of Terri's Law, the public global outcry and Terri's Fight, THEY WANT FOLKS TO TELL THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS TO STARVE THEM TO DEATH AND IN WRITING.

Terri didn't get the opportunity to state her wishes but the BAD GUYS sure stole her money and have tried to kill her two or three times thus far. That's why we're still here. fregards, floriduh voter

Morning prayer for Terri ...

Heavenly Father, we return to give You thanks for the dear ones who are steadfast in their efforts on behalf of this mother's child. Reward their vigilance, Merciful Father ... hasten the day when Terri is set free. Protect her, we pray ... still behind closed doors and away from the very people who have given her life and love. Shield her from those whose mission of hate would end her life. Comfort her in her solitude ... speak to her, O God. Be her music and her conversation, her idle chatter, her deepest thoughts, the sunshine and fresh air, families together ... all things denied. Stretch forth Your mighty hand and call forth this beloved daughter to freedom and life. In the Name of Jesus, I pray, Amen ...

Freeper floriduh voter scooped the media on 4/19/04.

Feedback follows: "Yes, you did beat the press with your report, Bravo! Not only that, but your report was factual, which is more than most of the major muzzled media ever reports!!"

Glad to help Terri any time. FV

Is the names of these jurors available anywhere? I'd love for a reporter to interview them for their opinions now that Michael has shown his true self. I wonder if they know none of the money has been spent for Terri's rehab.

I see that Baird didn't give his ruling yet. I suppose he has to call Greer first, apparently he can't make a decision on his own.

There aren't any jurors. Just Jeb's attorney, Michael's attorneys and Judge Baird. Jeb would probably like a jury trial but for now, they're just trying to take depositions. Since Michael filed the lawsuit, he had a right to check the box for a non-jury trial.

I believe he is referring to individuals who comprised the medical malpractice jury.

Check it out. Terri got even more news coverage today. In addition to this article, Terri was on CNN's news crawler today (I was surfing, not actually watching CNN).

http://aolsvc.news.aol.com/news/article.adp?id=20040420001109990001

CLEARWATER, Fla. (April 20) - The attorney for a man seeking to end his severely brain-damaged wife's life argued Monday that Gov. Jeb Bush shouldn't be allowed to gather new evidence in the case because the judge has the information he needs to decide if the law keeping her alive is unconstitutional. The governor's attorney countered that questioning is needed because lawmakers were uncomfortable with Michael Schiavo's motives in wanting to withdraw food and hydration from his wife, Terri Schiavo. Those questions are central to determining whether the state went too far when lawmakers hastily acted to stop Michael Schiavo from ending his wife's life last year, Bush's attorney argued.

Terri Schiavo, now 40, has been kept alive with a feeding tube after suffering severe brain damage when her heart stopped temporarily more than a decade ago. Her feeding tube was disconnected for six days in October before the governor signed a law requiring it to be reinserted.

Michael Schiavo has sued, saying his wife's right to make private medical decisions is being violated. His lawyer, George Felos, argued Monday that the issue of whether the law is unconstitutional or not is a legal one, not one that requires evidence to be gathered. The governor's attorneys argue the law provides protection for a disabled woman who left no written record of her end-of-life wishes.

The governor's legal team wants to put the issue of Terri Schiavo's wishes before a jury. The team then wants a judge to determine if the law violates her right to privacy or if the state was within its bounds in moving to protect her.

If you need the case number for Schiavo v. Bush let me know. A courteous administrative assistant at the courthouse got it for me.

If you exclude the Judges, imo, many civic employees are wondering why Michael won't just let her be with her family.
