Question:Why did Dr. Dobsons appearance for Pat Toomey get "pulled" from the "Activism" Headlines?
Posted on 04/20/2004 6:35:52 AM PDT by Preacher777
Dr. Dobson is coming to Pennsylvania for this one rally on Friday! This is the most hotly contested U.S. Senatorial race in the country. I place an article to let Freepers locally and nationally know that Dr. Dobson is becoming personally involed in this campaign and in two minutes it dissappears from the Activism Headlines section. Why???

Ditto. Toomey v. Specter is huge--I can't get enough info about it, living in Jersey, and rely on FreeRepublic. Why was it moved?

Was it pulled because a Christian made a political endorsement? Where is the equity in that?
Whoever pulled the thread please read the entire First Amendment
To: Preacher777
It must be because of that new amendment on "Separation of Church and State" we read about a day or two ago...(/sarcasm)

Beacause like many freepers here think, the President MUST support the encumbent and pay him back for voting for his own party's interests, and no-one shall get in the way of that?

Whoever pulled the thread please read the entire First AmendmentI suggest YOU read it. This is a private website, and the 1st Amendment only comes into play in that it enumerates the right of JimRob to run his website as he sees fit, and not as YOU see fit.

Why do you think?
W told us that The Specter is who he wants and criticism of W or anything that doesn't support his aims is not greeted well her at FR.

You guys are making a mountain out of a friggin' molehill - Activism/Chapters is reserved for announcements for direct grassroots activism by freepers or related groups, as well as after-action reports. The thread is still on FR, and I suggest you find it and bump it instead of treating the fact that it is no longer in a sidebar as proof of the onset of the Fourth Reich in America.

BTTT! I too would like to know the answer. Here's another one, is this a conservative site, or a Republican site?

Answer: It's Jim Robinson's site.
One could make an argument for Activism to be removed or left in the original thread, certainly. I viewed it as simply an Announcement.
Or maybe, just maybe, I got caught up in all the excitement when I was removing your post from Breaking News, Philosophy, Extended News, etc.
But no, that doesn't make for a very good conspiracy theory, does it?
Now here's a question for you, Preacher. Why did you feel it necessary to start another thread instead of using FReepmail or the Abuse Report?

I thought it was the Build-a-Burgers?

It struck the crew here that an announcement was more appropriate for the announcements sidebar, where it remains. This is also one of the default sidebars that accounts get, so it should not be a big deal. Thanks, LM

I thought it was the Build-a-Burgers?Nah, they're having cash flow problems - they were leveraged in dollars against euros, so they're meeting in a Ramada Inn in Goodland, Kansas this year.
