How did Kerry serve TWO tours of Vietnam, yet he was reportedly only there 4 or 6 months?? (I forget which one) His people keep referring to his deployment on USS Gridley (CG-21, formerly DLG-21) as a tour. It wasn't; it was a WestPac deployment, more commonly termed a cruise. It wasn't the best of duty but it certainly wasn't the worst either.

I was in Viet Nam the same time Hanoi Kerry was.
I was on a destroyer. Our duties included supplying PBR boats, like Hanoi Kerry was on.
And gunfire support in South Viet Nam and patrols and gunfire in North Viet Nam.
This traitor makes my blood boil when I think of all who gave their all.

My brother was on the USS America in 69-70. Kerry has pissed off many vets. His arrogance alone is enough to make anybodys blood boil.

Meehan said although Kerry could have asked to stay in Vietnam,
it was the Navy's decision to request that he be reassigned. Kerry left the country in early April 1969.
December, 1969 -- Kerry requests an early discharge from the Navy in order to run for a Massachusetts congressional seat on an antiwar platform.

I am a court reporter, so I can tell you that that quote is wrong:
What Haldeman says is "He's not as dynamic as Kerry is, but he is more believeable."

After receiving a Purple Heart for the March 13 scratch and bruise, Kerry sought an early pass out of combat duty, invoking the informal Navy "instruction" known as 1300.39. According to the Boston Globe, 1300.39 meant an officer could request a reassignment from his superior officer after receiving three Purple Hearts. The instruction states that, rather than being automatic, the reassignment would "be determined after consideration of his physical classification for duty and on an individual basis."
snip-----
Insight: contacted many men who served in Coastal Division at the same time Kerry did to ask if any of them had heard of anyone leaving the combat zone by invoking three minor wounds. Of the 12 who replied, none had heard of anyone doing so but John Kerry."
snip-----
Less than a month after having claimed three wounds for which he lost no more than a total of two days of duty, Kerry reported as an aide to a navy yard admiral in Brooklyn, New York, leaving his crew in Vietnam.

My understanding is that there is NO Statute of Limitation on WAR CRIMES!
John Freakin' Kerry testified that he witnessed war crimes and HE DIDN'T REPORT THEM!
Indict the Freakin' War Criminal and bring him to trial!

Thanks!
I will email it to the Kerry campaign. lol!
