Poor Crown Prince. He cannot or will not understand the dif-

No one would deny that Islam, along with all other religions, gives believers a feeling of internal peace, but Islam has never found a way to live on an equal footing with those who do not believe. As long as Christians and Jews acknowledge the political supremacy of Islam they are granted a measure of tolerance, but when Islam is challenged it reacts violently. Crown Prince Abdullah, deputy premier and commander of the National Guard, yesterday reaffirmed that Islam is a religion of peace and moderation.

The crown prince was delivering the inaugural address at an international conference on Islam and terrorism, organized by Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University.

The university has been trying to shed its extremist image after it emerged that a number of terror suspects on the government’s most-wanted list were IMSIU graduates.
