Why Kerry Will Win (Joe Farah wallowing in the fever swamps of kookery)

I have bad news for Bush supporters gloating at the latest polls showing the president expanding his lead over John Kerry.
I hate to rain on your parade, but this race is far from over.
Bush partisans are giddy over the fact that Kerry's campaign seems to be sputtering that he can't seem to capture much attention nor generate much excitement.
It's true that Kerry is a colorless, humorless, unlikable patrician.
Nevertheless, despite those characteristics, he's within the margin-of-error range in most polls. It's astounding, really. And that's why Bush is going to lose.
-snip-
It gives me no pleasure to make this prediction. While I believe Bush has been a failure as a president in many ways and cannot support him for re-election, I know Kerry will prove disastrous for the country.
Many people tell me I should support Bush for this reason alone.
I can't do that. I won't do that. I won't cast a vote for a candidate who doesn't really support the Constitution of the United States, even though he takes an oath to uphold it. I will not vote for a candidate for president who increased spending not just defense spending, but all spending so dramatically. I don't believe we'll ever get real political choices as Americans if we keep making the mistake of supporting the lesser of two evils.
Kerry is a dangerous man and I think he's going to be the next president.

Mr. Farah makes some very valid points, as always. President Bush has been a failure in many ways............particularly to the Constitutionalist wing of what once was the Republican Party.
Bush is very vulnerable on the economy as well as the war. Kerry, (basically reporting to the same controlling establishment), will do like FDR on the economy & Wilson on the war................that is carry on with the same policies as their predecessors but avoid the blame.

I think the more that gets revealed about Kerry the less likely he will be able to pull the number to defeat Bush. We haven't heard the entire story of vietnam service and that is going to turn out quite differently then he and his buddies been having us to believe.
To: quidnunc
"It's true that Kerry is a colorless, humorless, unlikable patrician."And those are his good points!
Seriously, though: without Ralphie Nader, Bush is in trouble.
The "undecideds" usually break for the challenger, which would put "F'ya" well up over Dubya.

Welcome, Joe, now you will know what it is to live in Canada by not casting your vote. That is O.K. Joe, go ahead, vote in another "senile" peanut farmer in the name of 'Hanoi John' Kerry. Do you remember Jimmy? Get ready to pay over 50% in taxes. Get ready to wait 7 hours in the emergency room before seeing a doctor. Let's have your military fighting out of paper bags. Welcome to a socialist/Liberal Canada. Get ready to never owning your house (our interest is NON deductible), we pay lots and lots of taxes. Our roads are full of wholes the size of Kerrys head. We are broke, Joe! Taxes, taxes, taxes. Free lousy Medicare, Joe
Come on up!

Farah is an idiot. President Bush is now leading 51.5% to 41.5% (in the most favorable poll for JFK) over Senator Kerry in those states that Gore lost in 2000.
NEWSFLASH: those are the only states that President Bush has to "carry" to win his re-election by 18 electoral votes.
So the *national* polls showing GWB with a mere 3 to 6% lead don't matter. Sure, California and New York will make the *popular* vote close, but that ain't how elections are decided here in the U.S.
Like I said, Farah is an idiot. I D I O T.
On the plus side, he's probably still got some cheap Y2K supplies for sale from back when he was predicting that "major disaster."

I hate to rain on your parade, but this race is far from over. Anybody who thinks we have this thing won is smoking something funny. That does not mean we are going to lose, but Farrah is right when he says, "This race is far from over."
1. The Dems have a lot of dirty tricks up their sleeve. Count on it.
2. The Dems will do ANYTHING to win. Lie, steal, cheat, blackmail, physical intimidation, ANYTHING (no limit). Remember, they have the mass media almost 100% on their side. Practically anything they dream up will be reported as fact.
3. They can always pull the old switcheroo. Hillary! can be drafted at the last moment, run a short and fast campaign with little media scrutiny, and quite possibly win. If Kerry is clearly sunk by the time of the Dem convention, and Hillary's advisors think she can win, then it will happen. Count on it.
...
One thing I do NOT think will help the Dems is another major attack on the U.S. We are made of sterner stuff than Spain.

Voting, at times, becomes a lesser of TWO EVILS. Joseph doesn't seem to be able to accept that and will vote his conscience, supposedly for some Constitution Party candidate or the like that have NO CHANCE to win.
I appreciate when people vote their consciences, however, I believe we live in a time where the C-in-C is the MOST IMPORTANT duty for the President. The thought of a massive NB or C attack that kills hundreds of thousands renders excessive spending, health care and other important issues to the back of the pack. We need a strong leader at this time in history and between the two candidates there is only one choice. George Bush.

I stopped reading WND when they started their creationist campaign. It's one thing to come here and argue about what is essentially a religious dogma argument (since a great number of non-creationists are still religious). But it's another for Farah to pretend to be a major media outlet and promote such silly stuff. I just don't have respect for that.

Thing about WND is you have to see every single friggin' article they publish posted on FR 20 times in the space of a couple of days.
I'm not much of a Newsmax fan either, but they aren't as actively nutty as WND.
I pretty much just read National Review Online, Mark Steyn, and Andrew Sullivan.

What one wants to be true and what one suspects will be true are two different things. He may well be right. I never believed the country would elect Clinton, but it did (twice)! Now there's no Perot in this race, and Pat Buchanan isn't involved either, but it will be a very close election, and come down to a handful of states. Those who think President Bush is wildly popular because they like or admire him are deceiving themselves. Bush's ace in the hole is that people will get fed up with Kerry before the election, but if the economy and Iraq look bad, he may well lose.

For the question of whether Kerry or Bush will win, it's not necessary to speculate on the more sensationalist allegations and anomalies. As a Republican "conservative" (or whatever), Bush has been a disaster as a president. Potentially he will unravel everything that those of us who worked many years to elect Ronald Reagan managed to accomplish.
We will have Kerry Supreme Court justices, Kerry tax policies, Kerry socialized medicine, and Kerry-Kerry-Kerry on the news every night for at least four years. A lot of things could happen between now and November. However, either these oil mafia boys in the White House are the biggest morons ever to carry the "conservative" mantle or...worse.
None of this had to happen.
To: Radio_Liberty
This is real minor stuff compared with the serious problems we face in the world in the war on terror.
A war BUSH WILL WIN and
KERRY WONT FIGHT.
Easy choice: Bush.
