I hope they don't go off the air. I've been listening to the streaming audio and it's great stuff. There is no conspiracy involving the evil dictator Bush that Janeane Garofalo will not immediately embrace.

I heard a woman the other night - some anti-nuclear weapon physician from Canada - say that Reagan's IQ (based on her one meeting with her) was around 100. She said the reason we maintain a nuclear arsenal has to do with the penis size of officials in the Pentagon.

This is the craziest stuff I've ever heard, and the callers are even better. I'll listen to it for three or four hours a week, and it really is priceless.

That must have been Dr. Helen Caldicott. She's an Australian. She forgot to mention her hysterical 1984 claim that the re-election of Ronald Reagan would make a nuclear war inevitable. We're still waiting for that nuclear war to start, Helen . . .

Patti Davis somehow persuaded her father to meet with Caldicott circa 1982. She went on some pinko rant about the wonders of the USSR and he tore into her assumptions. Because he didn't agree with her fanatical far-left beliefs about the innocence of the USSR, that made him dumb in her book. Everyone who disagrees with her is either ignorant or evil, typical Marxist twit that she is.

I actually read her book "Missile Envy", where she argues that the arms race was men trying to make up for the size of their genitals. It was unintentionally hilarious. As I said at the time, after Soviet dissident Andrei Sakharov endorsed SDI he was "promptly hospitalized, suffering a rare case of inverse missile envy".

Caldicott even offered excuses for Soviet mass murder (they were traumatized by what the Nazis did to them).

The fact that anyone would take some far left nimrod like Caldicott seriously makes it clear that this radio network is already in the toilet.

Oh, my other favorite Caldicott moment--she appeared on "Crossfire" around 1987. Pat Buchanan tore up her rad-lib twaddle so thoroughly that she started to cry.
