In most respects Hentoff toes the left-liberal line, but in two ways he stands out:

1. he is firmly pro-life, although he is agnostic/atheist, a la www.godlessprolifers.org; and
2. he detests character assassination, even when done to promote policy ends that he otherwise would support.

I saw the interview...Judge Pickering was portrayed an the honorable man he is and Shumer looked like the idiotic, bigot he is.
