Good timing - I got this from my son this a.m.:

Subject: Fw: A woman in a balloon

A woman in a hot air balloon realized she was lost. She lowered altitude and spotted a man in a boat below. She shouted to him, "Excuse me, can you help me? I promised a friend I would meet him an hour ago, but I don't know where I am."

The man consulted his portable GPS and replied, "You're in a hot air balloon approximately 30 feet above a ground elevation of 2346 feet above sea level. You are 31 degrees, 14.97 minutes north latitude and 100 degrees, 49.09 minutes west longitude."

She rolled her eyes and said, "You must be a Republican."

“I am," replied the man. "How did you know?" "Well," answered the balloonist, "everything you told me is technically correct, but I have no idea what to make of your information, and I'm still lost. Frankly, you've not been much help to me."

The man smiled and responded, "You must be a Democrat."

"I am," replied the balloonist. "How did you know?" "Well," said the man, "you don't know where you are or where you're going. You've risen to where you are due to a huge quantity of hot air. You made a promise that you have no idea how to keep, and you expect ME to solve your problem. You're in EXACTLY the same position you were in before we met, but somehow, now It's MY fault."

I agree, except for the occassional micro-brew...and "bottled urine" is giving it a better analogy than it is worth...

Liberals are running this country? How (with a conservative President, conservative Congress and a conservative judiciary)?

I thought we just about won the revolution here...

Pubs for years have cried, give us control of senate, house and Whitehouse and things will be different. OK.

Right...we have those...and we even have a few dedicated media outlets. I would think now is the best time to do what needs to be done to fix everything as the Dems are at an all-time low point with their power....

Excellent. Enjoyed the taxation/democracy-as-pure-looting parts especially. So true. Too bad Bush is a massive big "spender." He's no conservative OR libertarian. Waiting impatiently for him to abolish ONE Dept. or Agency before leaving office...
I didn't LOL with the gay bashing or womenasdependents stuff, sorry; but otherwise -- GOOD WORK!!! Soo true overall, too - unfortunately. Liberals are very free & easy with OTHER PEOPLE'S MONEY, and have never heard of VOLUNTARY CHARITY or THE MORAL HAZARD PROBLEM.

Thanks for some weekend laughs. heh heh.

The plain un-abridged truth separates the two sides right down the middle! This election if possible will be even closer and more divisive as the last one!

The term "liberal" was once an honorable political title. This has not been the case in many years. Liberal is just a facade that socialists hide behind as they do not care to be called socialists.

I read recently that Walter Cronkite criticized the presumptive Demon-rat candidate John Kerry for shying away from the label of LIBERAL. Walter (first name only, please) said that LIBERAL is an HONORABLE label, and that Ketchup-boy should not shy away from it as if it were something dirty and shameful. It seems that liberals not only deny the label SOCIALIST but run away from the LIBERAL moniker (not to be confused with Lewinsky) as well. They have a point. By calling themselves "centrists," or whatever, and they ARE so numerous, they can then shift, as if by magic, the entire political spectrum. That makes the rest of us rightwing lunatics - the far right, the extreme right, the rabid right, the hate-crime right.

Then there is that ultraliberal, neo-com, neo-soc website, www.prorev.com, or PROGRESSIVE REVIEW, which blasts Kerry in terms similar to those used by Walter Cronkite, and insists that candidate Kerry endorse a pure "progressive" platform. I thought he already did, considering his liberal score in Congress. The "progressive" platform deserves the label CRYPTO-NAZI. But anyhow...

No absolutely not.
It means that you Sir, ARE a Beer Drinker :-)

With the exception of Sam Adams and MGD Draft, I get headaches from the swill foisted on the public as american beer. (It's the chemicals added)

Now Beck's, St. Pauli Girl or DAB - that's what beer is supposed to taste like. And German Brewery's are still obliged to follow the German Beer Purity Law of 1516.

BTW, your 'urine' comment is on the mark. Years ago, when my wife's uncles from Germany first came to visit and tried american beer, they said exactly that, "urine".
