Kerry's Peeps Revile Priests at Pro-Abortion March
Sunday, April 25, 2004 | Kristinn

Posted on 04/25/2004 8:20:44 PM PDT by kristinn

The best way I can explain what I witnessed at today's so-called March for Women's Lives is to reference the movie, The Exorcist. When the possessed child, Regan, is confronted by priests who have come to expel the evil spirit from her, she reacts in shockingly vulgar, profane ways.

That is how thousands of 'pro-choice' demonstrators reacted to the presence of a lone priest blessing and praying for them along the march route.

Father Reynolds stood for hours this afternoon on Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, in front of the Navy Memorial. Other members of the clergy and pro-life activists were spread out along the same block. Almost nonstop, he made the sign of the cross with his right arm while speaking to the marchers offering blessings and prayers.

The response was nothing short of satanic. Father Reynolds was cursed at and flipped off by hundreds of marchers, many of whom sported Kerry stickers. Many other marchers mocked the sign of the cross. Some denounced God while others denied His existence.

Marchers screamed at the top of their lungs against the priest. He was repeatedly accused of being a child molester by those who support the murder of children.

One woman walked up to the priest and stood just on the other side of the police-manned fence separating the sides. She made the sign of the cross, but finished by thrusting her hips forward at the priest while she dramatically grabbed her crotch.

All the while, 'pro-choice' marchers were walking behind our lines with the permission of police. This caused me and another man to stand guard by Father Reynolds because the 'pro-choice' marchers kept harassing him and the police were slow to intervene.

I was wishing I had a video camera to document this. To see Kerry supporters acting in such a revealing and demonic manner was unsettling. Hour after hour passed of this vile, contemptuous behavior toward the priest. Noone on their side tried to rein in their evil behavior. It was the Democratic party at its most real.

The last group in the march was a bunch of homosexuals in drag who stopped and sang crude, profane songs meant to insult the clergy.

Father Reynolds blessed the men, as he had done thousands of others all afternoon. His faith was not shaken by the way he was treated today. He remained in good spirits throughout. His blessing arm was almost worn out, though :-)

Kristin, thank you for what you did..I had to work so I couldnt make it..I did watch CSPAN's live coverage which was revolting. I prayed rosaries and offered up Masses since Wed for God's people in DC this past weekend, and checked operationwitness.com for updates, and yes, prayed for the miscreants too..for their conversion... I get my share of abuse at Planned Parenthood in Cincinnati..the misguided seem to be more angry this year..I've had more people wanting to take down my signs and yell at me. But nothing stops the Holy Rosary. I pray there asking our Mother to send grace to soften their hardened hearts. I always look at their video security camera telling them that I want them in heaven some day, and I'm praying for that. In the end we win; and eventually we'll win as we're the ones having babies. they will cease to exist some day. bob

I was also there. I have never been under attack before as I was Sunday. Much of what Father went through was similar to what I experienced. My choice of expression was to pray the Rosary throughout the march and hold a sign. The sign was 2 sided, with one side displaing a picture of a baby being held, the other being a statement," Vote W For Life". The abuse I received was of the most vile verbal assaults and one threat of physical violence as well as several graphic gestures. Twice the police had to move people away from me. One was a woman on my side of the barricade. The other was a group of 3
(1man 2 women) that stood in front o me leaning over the barricade and spewed forth insults and filthy language. They appeared so enraged that I thought they were going to come over the fence.

The majority of the attacks I came under were a result of me praying the Rosary and being Catholic. Some were aimed at the pro-Bush sign, but primarily at the prayer. It seemed to further upset them when they tried to engage me that I continued to quietly continue to pray.

Inspite of the abuse I, oddly, never felt fear of physical violence. I do believe, and many of those around me felt similarly, that we struck a blow to the abortion advocacy. I came away, and still feel the same way a sense of victory over evil.

By our prescence we forced them to expose the hideousness of their position and of many in their ranks. They were their own worst enemy. The look of fear in the eyes of many marchers was quite telling. As if they saw the evil in which they were caught up in. I believe the pro-life movement won over many hearts Sunday. That Glory is due to GOD who granted his grace upon the few hundred pro-lifers who bravely stood strong in the face of evil and WON.

Hi all -

I'm coming to this conversation late, since I found out that Fr. Reynolds is becoming something of a minor celebrity. He is a Charismatic Episcopal priest (in no way affiliated with ECUSA). I had the pleasure of meeting him the prior weekend, and he struck me as such a warm, gentle man, so it really moved my heart to see that he was abused in such a manner.

I had wanted to attend, but I promised that my family and I would attend a walkathon to raise money for Sparrow House, which is a home for teenage mothers-to-be. So, I guess we were in a walk for life instead of death. May the Good Lord bless all of you who stood up for Truth in this battle!

IF I EVER SEE THAT EVIL BITCH IN MY TRAVELS ON CAPITOL HILL, I WILL LOOK HER STRAIGHT IN THE EYES AND STARE HER DOWN!

THAT IS A SOLEMN PROMISE!

I am told she does not allow people to stare at her, therefore I am going to stare at her on purpose! Just to rattle her evil cage!

About the only thing I can say for Bush is he is against abortion. He is not more a Christian than Kerry is a Catholic. It is all for show. They are both globalist and in my opinion liars.

The problem is most of our leadership in government, business and the media seem to belong to the other side.

Good the hear that there are still brave people who stand up to their beliefs under extreme oposition.

Understood, Bro. Look after the family first -- FReep later!

BTW, you would have needed to take a shower before you made the trek back to Richmond -- ugly, filthy, evil crowd.

Taxman Bravo Zulu!

You did exactly the right thing -- LIEberal/Socialist/Marxist Thugs cannot stand it when they don't get their way, and she obviously was looking to start a fight.

Bet she would have given you a wide berth had you had your Akita (or your husband) near you!

They are cowards, you know.

Hi cake_crumb,

You wrote:

"We already have control over our own bodies anyway. It's called birth control. While no birth control method is 100 percent effective, in this day and age there is no good reason for a woman to get pregnant in the first place. Abortion is not a birth control method."

Actually birth control (in the form of the Pill) IS abortion in some cases. The Pill is what's known as an abortifacient (sp?) - if working well, it would usually stop an egg from being fertilised. But sometimes a sperm gets through anyway and fertilises an egg, so the Pill has a backup mechanism that actually kills off this fertilised egg, thus causing an abortion in women who don't even know it.

Don't know if you're Catholic or not, but the Church teaches that ALL artificial birth control is wrong, against the law of God. Using artificial BC is as gravely wrong morally as abortion.

I would much rather have been at your Walkathon but there is one coming up in May for the Crisis Pregnancy in Richmond and I'll do my best to participate.

Fr. Reynolds and all the other priests and seminarians were stalwart icons last Sunday and I will never forget them.

Who would have ever imagined 10 or 20 years ago that a bunch of women would get together and have a street party to celebrate the death of babies?

I am still a little in shock at the brazen contempt for decency these people had.

And what about those Republicans for Choice traipsing along with a big banner? Even a minimal amount of research would have told them this would be a Bush/Conservative/religion bashing event. Didn't they get it when Hillary screeched at them in the mall before the march? Aaaaargh!

Glad you made it home safely. See you again soon, I hope.
