Excerpt - MOSCOW (AFP)--British-Russian oil company TNK-BP chief executive, Robert Dudley, has been summoned to appear before Russian prosecutors on Monday to explain "violations" of labor laws by his company, Interfax news agency reported Saturday. Dudley "temporarily" left Russia this week, the company said Thursday, saying he would run the company from outside the country. ~ snip ~

Just wanted to point out the dueling rallies at High & Market streets, West Chester, PA. On one side of the street, patriots thanking the troops and supporting our president. On the other side, peaceniks (mostly wrinkled hippies), crying about the Iraq war. Motorist support seemed to be decidedly in favor of the pro-america rally, but not exclusively. Complicating matters were the kids running in and out of stop and go traffic to collect money for a basketball team while their idiot parents condoned the behavior.

LoRo, Greg, Matthew, TomTheRedHunter Lurker Bill, PleaDeal, Chris, and VAFlagWaver LoRo, a Freeper, has been very busy working as an intern for the Heritage Foundation. She was able to join us on a fairly regular basis last summer. A few weeks ago she did a little recon and saw that we were still out here keeping Code Pink pushed down the street away from the gate. So she sent out an email to all her associates and friends at Heritage and asked if anyone wanted to join her at Walter Reed on the 11th. We were fortunate that she...

The roll call of our 12 Patriots included Legionnaires Glenn (WWII - USMC), Dave (WWII - Army), Dennis (Korea - Army), Halsey (Korea - USMC), Frank (Korea - Army), Lurker Bill with daughter and grandson, Cindy_True_Supporter, Gavin, Sensei Ern, {Mrs} Trooprally, aka [Mrs] T, and myself, [Mr] T. Pics by [Mrs] T The nine moonbats that showed up this week once again received almost no honks as the stood and sat, holding their signs belittling our soldiers tremendous efforts. Research by Harvard shows a correlation between active anti-troop protest and attacks on our troops. ”We find that in periods immediately...

MoveOn.org tried to stage one of their pitiful made-for-the-evening-news events here in Rochester. Their goal? Blame Bush, McCain and the GOP for high gas prices. The Olmsted County GOP caught wind of it and within 48 hours staged one of the most fun coups ever. MoveOn activist Lyle (didn't catch the last name) was befuddled by the strong GOP counter-protest for drilling domestic oil. On the KTTC six o'clock news broadcast he could do no more than stutter when asked if he knew that there was going to be a counterpoint to his protest. He did manage to claim that...

WOW and DOUBLE WOW is the only way I can describe the Patriotic Americans that attended the Walter Reed and Olney FReeps. It’s Saturday afternoon as I started this combined AAR and my heart still pounds with pride over all those who came out, especially to Walter Reed on the evening of the Fourth. Since I’m honored this week to write the Walter Reed AAR and usually write the Olney AAR, I had to combine the two because of their similarities. Several weeks ago a question as to who will be at Walter Reed came up. About 4 or 5...

The weather was a little cooler for this day's two man FReep but the action was still hot. Kelly and I received many honks, waves, and thumbs up. The moonbats had to settle with far fewer honks for their side. Despite what the polls and the drive-by media say, it seems the support for our troops and their mission is pretty good based on the positive responses we get. And this is from a blue state run by socialists. Along with the honks and waves, we got a couple of nice comments from people walking by. A lady stopped and...

PRICELESS!!! It was a hot and humid day with a passing shower. After dealing with the dilapidated umbrella that I gave [Mr] Trooprally for our 1st Rain FReep , he gave us big umbrellas just in case! The shower was quick and luckily not enough to even break out the umbrellas. It was, however, enough to get a rain drop on [Mrs] Trooprally's camera lens at one point. So, when you see a little spot in the middle of a few pictures, you will know the reason! Great pics courtesy of [Mrs] T. What a day full of surprises...

Today's FReep consisted of Mary Bell, Kelly, and me. Despite triple digit temperatures here in redlands we still had a great time and enjoyed seeing the moonbats spirits melt as we got many more honks than they did along with many waves and thumbs up. A man with his two young kids walking by stopped and talked with us a little. He was an Army veteran and he thanked us and said he appreciated what we were doing. Later a middle aged man stopped and thanked us. The moonbats had fewer numbers than usual this Friday and the ones that...

A few weeks ago we had a series of very powerful thunderstorms that sent trees tumbling all around the region. One was on the easement by the street just by where we put up the MOAB, and in typical Washington DC fashion the government hasn't gotten around to doing anything about it. If we'd have been out that night our MOAB would have gone the way of Dorothy's house. However, tonight was a nice evening so we got the MOAB up no problem, and soon the flags were flying behind it Honor Role of Attendees Your author Tom the Redhunter,...

After spending the winter in a warmer climate, 3DJoy in back in town for the summer. And she’s back in style. Just arriving last week, she was at Walter Reed, spent Friday night at the Olney Compound and was out at Olney, cheering for our brave troops. Then lunch at Dave’s Bistro. For those who know the place, they actually have a 6 page menu now. And the weather was almost perfect, just a little on the warm side in Olney. What a way to spend her first weekend in town. BELOW 3D in her stylish outfit at Walter Reed....

I meet up with FReeper T_Skoz and five other FReedom Fighters in the parking lot of the Holiday Inn in Portmouth, NH. The weather was rainy and overcast but the This is New Engalnd. The reason for the FReep was the "Card Check" bill that is up in the House. This bill would allow Unions to by pass an NRLB election on the basis of signed organizing Cards and negotiate with the employer as if an election had happened. Sounds Like Detroit On Election Day.. The real reason is that Che is a 100% Rat Political Hack and we want...

JUNE 13, FLAG DAY AND US ARMY BIRTHDAY WEEKENDThe Friday evening, before Flag Day and the United States Army’s 233rd Birthday, saw our enthusiasm high with a continuous stream of honks and waves from passing cars. No rain ( a change from the recurring Friday night showers this past spring), but a very warm and pleasant night with cooling breezes near dusk, and good camaraderie among the twenty-three FReepers and visitors.. We carried plenty of flags and signs announcing the 233rd Birthday of the United States Army. The moonbats were restless as June approaches its full moon and a code...

We had our 1st Rain FReep last week and now the first hot and humid FReep/Rally of summer. I began the FReep alone and then my mom-in-law was kind enough to join me. All In The Family (Tree) meaning my mom-in-law and I shared a tree for shade! Sorry, folks - not much to report and no pictures for this week but we were there to Support Our Troops. We received a good amount of beeps, waves and thumbs up. A lady walked by and said "God Bless You". A guy in a GoArmy.com car stopped to thank us...

FRIDAY EVENING, WALTER REED FRONT GATE:A sultry evening, hot and humid, typical Washington summer weather, albeit earlier then usual. But we had plenty of ice-cold water and sodas to help combat the heat. It did cool off at dusk and no one wilted. As we were setting up, VictoryNY, with only a sign, began to capture the attention of drivers and passengers. Throughout the evening we had positive participation on all four corners. RonGKirby didn’t disappoint as he continued to bring a relevant sign for the day. Tonight, of course, his message was to thank the WW II soldiers for...

Click here for map showing location and free nearby garage When the map appears, you can click on the links on the left for the Courthouse or Garage to bring up a box where you can select "Directions To This Location". Here's the Patriots who braved the thnderstorms last Saturday and came out to Support The Troops. That's FR's Honest Conservative on the left. During the day, one active duty Soldier home on leave and one Navy Seal thanked them for their efforts in West Chester. And there's a party afterwards. If you need more info, just ask here...

There's no such thing as an "average" Friday evening at the main entrance of Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Sometimes it's the weather; freezing cold, hot and humid, or thunderstorms. Other times we get to meet FReepers from all around the country who are in town for the week, or some who even come in specifically to join us. Troops from every type of unit, and who have served in every theater come by and speak with us. Family members, some Gold Star parents, join us occasionally. This night was no different in that it was different. The first order...

It finally happened. Our 1st Rain FReep/Rally in Westminster! Since October 2007, we have managed to stay outside the window of rain. Well, not today. It rained steadily the entire time. [Mr] Trooprally came from Olney to join us. Wouldn’t it figure that he missed the rain at Walter Reed and Olney but got soaked in Westminster. I think the rain really likes [Mr] T! Just as I helped Anomoly99 unfurl the flags, [Mr] T pointed out the rain was going to hit and also found a good spot under one of the shop canopies for My Hero (Chris) and...

May 31 was another great day for the DC Chapter Free Republic as we brought Operation Chaos to the Banks of the Potomac River. Kristinn and I decided to join in on the fun outside the Hotel where the Democrat National Committee's Rule Committee was meeting. While Kristinn hung out in front of the hotel to get a good spot, I decided to do a little picketing and photo recon in the nearby park and sidewalks, where Hillary Clinton Supporters were ralling and confronting some wayward Obama Supporters that dared to show up. Several Hillary Supporters I spoke to were...

We had clear skies and warm temps for this FReep. It was Mary, Kelly, and me this Friday. About fifteen minutes after I had set everything up a young man named Devan came up to me and shook my hand. He said he had just enlisted in the Army and was going to be a Ranger. He said he appreciated us for supporting him and the rest our troops. We thanked him for his service and he went away with a big smile on his face. A little later a teenage boy walked by and also shook hands and said...

Memorial Weekend – A time to remember and honor our fallen heroes who have proudly served their country and bravely defended our freedoms. Because of their sacrifices, we celebrate this Memorial Weekend. God Bless Our Heroes and the USA! It was a beautiful spring day with plenty of sunshine. We received our share of beeps, waves and thumbs up. We got one salute and a SEMPER FI shout. A man across the street gave us thumbs up. One lady approached us to tell us we were doing a great job. Two ladies on scooters, who are becoming regulars riding by,...

This Friday's two man FReep was wet but fun. For a couple days we here in southern California got a taste of the type of weather folks in the Midwest and back east usually endure. Due to a freak spring storm we had heavy showers, hail, snow in the mountains, and even a few small tornadoes in various parts of the region which is odd for southern California, especially this time of year. It was Kelly and me this day and as usual we got more honks than the moonbats did and got many waves and thumbs up. Before Kelly...

<p>"Support the troops, bring them home now." "Money for wounded - not for war." Like "Free Tibet" bumper stickers, these are the "feel good" signs and phrases the apPeacers exclaim. At lunch time, May 16, 2008, several members of the DC Chapter of Free Republic thanked the military recruiters at the Silver Spring, Md. Military Recruiting Center (MRC) and at the L St., NW, Washington, DC, MRC, for their service to our country. SILVER SPRING MCR REPORT:At noon, Mr and Mrs Trooprally, Cindy_True_Supporter, Kburi and PrezUSA222 carried pizza, soda, patriotic balloons and Certificates of Appreciation into the Recruiting Center. ARMED FORCES DAY MAY 17, 2008 I would like to take a moment to thank all of our brave men and womenwho have served and currently serve in the Armed Forces. We take pride in standing up for you and showing our support. It is the least we can do for the true heroes that protect and defend our freedom and enable us to live in the great USA! From the bottom of our hearts - THANK YOU! After a 2 week absence due to prior commitments and a Festival in Westminster, we were Back In The Saddle Again...

A Fight broke out at the Jamiel Shaw Rally today. It was pretty serious. Muslim headgear guy ended up on the ground with what might have been a broken nose. A member of our group was repeatedly assaulted in the face. The police were called and they asked "Do you seen any weapons? and "Is it an equal fight or is a bunch of people on one"? Finally, a car came out briefly but no one was arrested and no report was taken. Now we know why the crime rate is down in Los Angeles - the police don't take...

Welcome to FReep #16. It was Mary, Kelly, and me for this Friday's FReep. As usual our side received more honks than what the moonbats could ever hope to get and we got many waves, thumbs up, and a few kind words from passing motorists. The moonbats seemed a bit more tired and worn out today. While most of their group usually shows up between 4:30 to 4:45 there were only a handful of them from 4:20 to about 5:15. The rest of the old hippies finally straggled in at about 5:20. One of the moonbats brought his little boy,...

May Day, the communists' day of celebration is a day that the moonbats look forward to every year. This year they were especially thrilled with a flashback to their early days. Fraxinus (BELOW) wore a different style t-shirt this Saturday but from across the intersection, it was a flashbcak to the psychedelic, intoxicating, 60s. Bringing this thread back to reality, we had another great visitor to our FReep. Frank is a marshall from the Gathering of Eagles events. While not loggin to GoE, he was at the WWII Memorial during that bitter cold, windy March 17, 2007 day. And he...

This week, Families United was invited from across the country to join the Iraq Ambassador at Arlington National Cemetery for a special salute to the soldiers they lost in the liberation of Iraq. They were honored with a dinner and a memorial plaque. While they were in DC, these very special people decided to join us out on the corners of the main entrance of Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC) to support the soldiers who willingly sacrifice themselves for their country. You may not know about Families United, but it is an organization comprised of the families of members...

The D.C. Chapter's Tenth Annual FReep of the White House Correspondents Association (WHCA) Dinner took place on Saturday afternoon and evening on April 26, 2008. In attendance were Kristinn, Staytrue, gunsareok, Doctor Raoul, Jimmy Valentine’s Brother, Angelwood, Mrs. Trooprally, BufordP, bmwcycle, Rongkirby, Discodave, Dinosour. Our theme was "An Inconvenient Truth" where we pointed out many truths the media may find inconvenient. I think pictures and videos do a better job of reporting than a narrative so here they are. (all photos are courtesy of Mrs. Trooprally). First up is Doctor Raoul and JVB manning their customary position on the Northeast...

Today, I stood outside our county courthouse, in Bradley County, Tennessee, from 9-3 PM holding a sign which read.. ILLEGAL ALIENS GO HOME As I did last year, I acknowledged the comments of the Americans with thanks, and tried to ignore the illegal alien enablers. The hundreds of American passers-by honked, waved and gave me "thumbs up". The encouraging words and thanks are worth the hours of standing in the sun, and getting odd looks, in a town that does not protest. One of the best comments came from a well educated, sharp looking American, who told me that he...

Legs (Trooprally) was the 1st at our Westminster Rally. Check out Post #3 by WVNan and then my Post #5. Our comments grew on Legs as shown in Post #6. Legs just craved the attention for himself before my hubby- Anomoly99, My Hero and I joined him! Jimmy Valentine's brother continues the fun and encourages the ego of Legs Trooprally! LOL Honestly, I don't know if it was the USA and USMC Flags that Mr. T was flying proudly or newly nicknamed "Legs" getting the positive responses! All joking aside, we know that people appreciate us being out in Westminster...

An Appreciative Local must have thought we were hungry as he drove past us because he bought us (BELOW - that is Eager helping Lurker Bill on our left flank) a bag of McD's double cheeseburgers and a bag of 20 oz. sodas. This meant he had to stop at two places since McD's does not sell bottled soda. Most of us chowed down immediately. This Saturday we had also bought some Dunkin Donuts with the gift certificates (4 - $10 certificates) that another appreciative local gave us several months ago. It had been too cold to buy donuts previously...

This is the time of year when when FReeping is easy. Temperatures are in the mid 70s during the day, dropping to maybe 65-70 at night, and humidity is low. The sky is partially cloudy, so you're not hit with a blazing sun, but neither is there a threat of precipitation. There was just enough of a breeze to keep you pleasantly cool, but not so much to tear our MOAB. In other words, it was a beautiful evening. With Kelly having to work late and Mary unable to come out, this Friday's FReep was a one man operation. Despite being by myself I still had a lot of fun. I managed to get more honks than the moonbats did, despite being outnumbered and got a few great comments and even a hug from folks walking by. At first an older lady walking by asked me if she could give me a hug. I accepted and she then told me her husband was a Navy officer and she was happy to see someone standing up for our side. Later...

PatrioticMarineMom and I had a warm, windy day consisting of spring flurries. Flurries of supporters and white petals from the flowering pear trees that line Main Street! PatrioticMarineMom was holding her USMC Flag and her favorite Marine son sign. I had my USA Flag and one of my favorite signs: God Bless The Military and Their Families. We received a decent amount of beeps, waves and thumbs up. We also received a few salutes, SEMPER FI and OOORAH shouts. Those are always good gestures to see and hear. One man thanked us for being there. We told him that we...

Welcome to the Redlands FReep #14. For the last couple of weeks my computer has been down so I was unable to post threads for FReeps #12 and #13. I had a good time FReeping on those two Fridays and hope nobody thought I decided to cut & run. Computers are wonderful pieces of technology but they can be a pain when they don't work right. This was was one of our more entertaining FReeps. It was Mary Bell, Kelly, and me taking on the moonbats of Citizens Action For Peace this week. We got many more honks and waves...

YES, we have the moonbats on the run once again! Around 2:15pm, a moonbat whom we nicknamed “Howard” as in Stern, walked to his position to see nobody there! He walked across the street to talk to us. He approached me first as I was the closest. He asked me how I thought the war was going. I told him I thought it was going fairly well. He then wanted to see if he understood us. He asked if we were for peace but just in a different way. I told him that was right, that we believe in peace...

The moonbats (BELOW) brought in their reinforcements today. They totaled 8 hardened, grumpy Quackers. Our faux marine was again AWOL but that is to be expected from him, and they lost their American flags. Finally, SPRING arrived in Westminster! PatrioticMarineMom and I were blessed with beautiful blue skies and sunny warm temps. Not much excitement for this particular FReep/Rally, but we did get our share of beeps, waves, thumbs up and a few conversations. One young girl driving by held her military cap out the car window. An Army wife walking by stopped to praise us and tell us she was an Army wife and they needed to be supported too. We agreed. Too bad all you male FReepers missed this one. The warm weather brought quite a few ladies out! A few said...

I just heard from Chris Hill, Gathering of Eagles National Director. Following the 10am News Conference on Capitol Hill today, GOE visited 437 Congressional offices in support of the troops and their mission. Chris said that "probably half of the offices were happy to see us," with "one quarter apathetic and one quarter passive-aggressive." Predictably, Southern Democrats and Republicans were more typically glad to see GOE representatives. Overall, more than 200 in the House of Representatives gave a positive response to the Eagles. Vets for Freedom will be doing follow-up lobbying Capitol Hill on Tuesday, and the VFW follows...

This is my story and Hitlery's handlers are not going to get me to change it and B. Hussein O. can't "change" my mind by spouting his "typical" dribble. Where is Doctor Raoul's gas mask when we need it? The three moonbats that showed up today had all 16 patriots shaking in their boots and ducking for cover when a strange green cloud blew over to our side of the street. It was so bad that several patriots had to deploy to the other two corners. Luckily the brisk wind soon dispersed the strange odor and we we back to...

We held down the fort on Saturday while PatrioticMarineMom and hubby were away for the weekend. Mr. T helped us out and brought along Kristinn, another fine, dedicated DC Chapter FReeper. It was pretty quiet at first, but things started to pick up. A girl driving by said her husband was in the Army. I said God bless him and thank him. There were a couple of drivers that saluted us. A Vietnam Vet held his hat out the window and we thanked him. A younger Military guy held his hat out the window as we thanked him also. These...

Almost unbelievable that it's really been three years for this event. I've participated since August of 2005, and that itself seems long enough, so I my thanks goes out to those intrepid FReepers who started this FReep back in March of that year. With this in mind, we had a special FReep planned for the Three Year Anniversary. When I got there just before 6:30, our usual starting time, FReepers were already on our corners holding their signs! I got out the MOAB and we set to work Soon we had it up and the FReep truly began! On the...
