Good for you!

Sorry I missed it . . . I'm not much of a TV watcher.

But if your daddy disagrees with your politics and still says you did good . . . you did good.

I watched the replay!

You were awesome!

You should try and get a job with Fox!

BTTT!

Thanks for posting the recap; I didn't get to watch it since my meeting ran late.

Unfortunately, modern "talking head" shows have been reduced to a studio full of spin doctors each trying to turn the conversation this way and that way. It's easy to take the bait and argue against their statements, but that's exactly what they want you to do, so that the public doesn't hear that Jesse committed treason.

By Alan switching the subject, you can bet that liberals are embarassed of Jesse.

They should be.

You held your own though, and it was obvious that you were the straight-talker in the group.

If I can kid you a little here, I would say the word, "Hiroshima." :)

Good on you Mike, you represented us well.

Both Hannity and Colmes should be embarrassed of that interview. What did they call you there for.. to let Barron have someone to mock. My goodness. If the point was that the liberals are out of control, they proved that hands down. I thought Sean could have tried to get that under control, especially the personal attack on you by Barron.

You did great not to respond on his hateful level.

Well,I know who you are and I am glad you are around. I highly doubt that Barron speaks for any rational person, with any amount of pigment in their skin.

I am still proud of your work.

Michael, you did fine. Barron is a pompous a**hole who could NOT debate the issue, he could only shout over you, refuse to let you have a moment to present your views. Standard tactics for mentally handicapped Dims. It's a shame that FNC allows it, it brings FNC down to ABC/CBS/CNN's level.

Kudos to you.

That was absolutely great! Wish I'd seen it, but with all the crap hitting the fan (militarily) yesterday, I was on intellectual overload by 4 o'clock. Spent the evening reading.

You held your own compared to what's his name in the Nehru jacket. I can't even remember his remarks. Something was said about "what people may think" and mhking said "I don't care." Good for you. How many people stand up for their beliefs these days like you did without doing a poll first?

I watched it. Barron was such an ass you would have done well if you'd just sat there and smiled at the camera. But your comments were spot on and only drove the nails home in the coffin he put himself in. You came out a definite winner. Coherent, classy and mature. Congratulations.

Thank you for the self-indulgent informative mega-ping. Double drat that I didn't check the alternate FR site or I would have recorded it and had the opportunity to scream all the things at the lib that decorum prevented you from saying. Next time, I'll be there.

You obviously show your good taste and vast intelligence in choosing She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed as your helpmate. (Can you tell we belong to the same union?)

So, I *must* ask: did/does Sean know your a FReeper -- one of a group that he apparently believes dislikes him? Did you get any take on whether he was serious about that?

That was you !?!

Nice job representing our side!

It especially sounded good when juxtaposed against that spittle flecked nut-job.

Bravo!

Thank you. I enjoyed reading this, and I am sorry that I missed you.

It is good to finally put a face on mhking. I have read many of your posts through the years, and you are one of my favorite freepers.

Thank you, again.

I stayed up to watch it again on the replay. You stayed so cool, and reasonable. I had missed your comment about JJackson not representing you the first time. That Barron tried to "marginalize" you is putting it rather gently-you must be a better person than I.

You definitely held your own :) You scored several good points--when you countered Barron's "you don't speak for our people" comment with a riposte at Jackson; when you got Colmes to concede Jackson's comment was over the top; when you countered the "no WMD" charge by bringing up the planes buried in the desert; and when you drew the Japan analogy ("Hiroshima" notwithstanding, LOL!--I blanked like that once during a dissertation rehearsal, so I know how that feels :) The biggest challenge I thought you faced was being attacked by a hostile cohost and guest who tried to pre-empt genuine discussion by talking over you and changing the subject from Jackson to Iraq/Bush. Unfortunately most talk shows are run that way and they bring on flamboyant guests who talk over people and dodge issues like that. IMO some keys to counter that are to remain calm under fire, as you did; to rehearse putting your key points into soundbytes to make sure they get heard and not drowned out; to go on the offensive when an opportunity to make your key points presents itself (as you did when you drove the Japan analogy into Barron's court--I think this was perhaps the strongest point of your presentation); and to rehearse your counterattacks for the types of ambushes Colmes and Barron aimed at you. Colmes came across as a tougher debating opponent than Barron, I thought, because Barron was so obviously obnoxious and rude, whereas Colmes was able to maintain a facade of civility by distancing himself from Jackson's comments before attacking you; however you were able to capitalize on that by getting him to concede Jackson's comments were over the line, so you countered that effectively. In that exchange you scored a point on Colmes himself, so I'd definitely say you held your own, IMO.

I saw it (I didn't know who you are) and I thought you were far better than he was. Your concerns about being ambushed weren't reflected in your on-screen presence. Great job.
