Ms. Lynch was at the White House Correspondent's Dinner last weekend. Strange that Drudge didn't mention her on his radio show last Sunday night; he was there. There's a not-bad Washington Post Story about the event with a mention of Jessica. She got to meet the President and Deputy SecDef Wolfowicz. Some photos too:

From that Wash. Post article:

Jessica Lynch faced quite the quandary last weekend -- not that it compares with being a POW, by any means -- when she was forced to choose between her boyfriend, Ruben Contreras, and President Bush.
After an impromptu meet-and-greet with Dubya and Mrs. Bush backstage after the White House Correspondents' Dinner, Lynch was invited by press secretary Scott McClellan to see the prez again at the White House on Sunday morning. Alas, the adorable 21-year-old had other plans: She was booked on a predawn flight to make it home in time to celebrate Contreras's 25th birthday. (Awww.)
People magazine's Sandra Sobieraj tells us that Lynch was still struggling with what to do while at the Bloomberg News after-party -- (cue the Clash's "Should I Stay or Should I Go") -- when Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz swooped in and saved the day. Dropping to one knee (Lynch was sitting on a couch), Wolfie assured her: "The president wouldn't want you to miss your boyfriend's birthday. I speak to him all the time and, if no one else gets the message to him, I'll make sure he knows that's why you didn't go see him."
That Wolfowitz, always the diplomat.

Always good to see our soldiers recovering from their sacrifices. Thanks.
