What part of "a closed door meeting with the President and Vice President of the United States" did these two leftist jerks fail to comprehend?? How much intentional disrespect was involved for them to not clear their calendars for this meeting?

Their excuses are so disingenuous as to be laughable if their actions were not so despicable. Keep working on those excuses, boys, with enough work you might actually come up with something plausible.

"If I get any indication that the president was offended by me running up to the Hill at the tail end of a meeting, I would certainly apologize," Mr. Kerrey said. "This is a perception people have on the outside, especially those who don't like my political views."
He also said he didn't want "to get drawn into partisan fighting" because right now the commission can produce a bipartisan report.
"The only thing that worries me is if people like myself take the bait from extremely partisan Republicans who are trying to taunt me into becoming a partisan Democrat," he said. "I'm capable of doing it, but I'm trying to resist."

Give me a freakin break, Kerrey!! You ARE a PARTISAN RAT! You have been and you will continue to be one, so cut the bullsh*t already! For crying out loud!

The democRats have lost the right to raise any questions about the Bush administrations actions surrounding the 9/11 attacks on US soil. Any questions can now be countered with, "Why the heck didn't you ask the President when he met with the commission? Oh yeah, you decided it wasn't worth your time to find this out!"

Remember, these same clowns along with the rest of the Dems didn't even attend the 4 hour Rice closed door testimony. Then they grandstanded in front of the cameras. What a bunch of losers.

"It was absolutely not disrespect", said Lehman.

The spineless has-been or never-were Republicans on this 911 commission make me just as sick as the 'Rat members, if not more so.

What gets me is that these RATs are so freakin transparent in their "BLAME AMERICA FIRST" mentality, yet they insist on acting "victimized" when called on their outragously dishonest behaviour.

I have no hesitation at all in questioning their motives or their lack of patriotism. If they don't like it, then they can kiss my All American Arse.

.....getting to the heart of the issue........O but they are....the heart of the issue is to try to catch the President in a lie, or failing at that, twist something he said so it looks like a lie. Then, my friends, impeachment charges can be brought before the House of Rep. and more gleefully, removal from office by the Senate hopefully would follow.

You can bet your sweet ass that if the Pres and VP had been under oath, nobody, and I mean noooobbbbody would have left the meeting. About an hour after the meeting, all transcipts would have been leaked. Ten seconds after the leak, every scumbag liberal in the World would have been pouring over the transcipts for ANYTHING that they could twist into looking like a lie.

So...the liberal scum misunderestimated the Pres once more....he knew what the dems were up to and thwarted their efforts....again.

Yes, they had busy lives. Yes, they had other appointments. No, they were not indispensable at those other meetings.

In Washington DC you crawl over broken glass to attend a meeting with the President, and you stay to the end.

Isn't it nice to learn that democRATS are NOT partisan like the " extremely partisan" Republicans?

Republican lawmakers said yesterday that by walking out of their meeting Thursday with President Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney early, some members of the September 11 commission did more damage to the panel's credibility. In the words of my old Air Bos'n...No Shit!!!

Nobody is taunting him. Nobody even needed to say anything. The fact that these two left early tells you that neither one of them thinks what they are doing on the commission is the least bit important. Certainly not as important as lobbying congress for an appropriation (like a senator wouldn't understand rescheduling an appointment due to an opportunity to attend a meeting with the president!)

Since we now know their priorities, we now know what the report will be about.

My Dear Mr. Kerrey: The President may not be offended, but we the people ARE offended. The Presidency belongs to us, whether the president is Clinton or Bush. The Office of the President represents the people of the United States of America.

You just slapped every one of us in the face while trying to sneak money out of our back pocket.

Whether you respect George W. Bush is one thing, but you've obviously cleared up the question about whether you respect the people, you don't.

Gentlemen,

Bob Kerrey holds a CMH. He can ask the president to give up his chair at any meeting if he wants to, let alone leave one early.

I agree with you re Lehman.

When I first heard his name, something negative about his actions when in previous government service nudged my memory bank. Then other Freepers had praise for him, so I did not bother to research exactly to what that old memory was connected. I think I'll try to do a little research now.

Lehman's apologies for Gorelick, Ben Veniste and Kerrey show that he has some animosity somewhere for either this administration or the Bush family.
