Pregnant mother and four daughters killed in Gaza terror attack
By israelinsider staff May 2, 2004
An Israeli woman in her eighth month of pregnancy and her four daughters were killed this afternoon when two terrorists opened fire at Israeli cars traveling on the Kissufim-Gush Katif road in the Gaza Strip. Soldiers shot the terrorists dead, but only after an explosive device at the scene detonated, wounding three soldiers, two of them with moderate-to-serious injuries.
The victims of the attack were identified as Tali Hatuel, 34, and her daughters Hila (11), Hadar (9), Roni (7) and Merav (2). Tali's husband was not in the car at the time of the attack, ynet reported.
The Hamas terrorist organization claimed responsibility for the terror attack, Channel Ten television reported. Palestinian sources said, however, that the attack was a joint effort of Islamic Jihad and the Fatah's Popular Resistance Committees, media sources reported.
The attack occurred when the two gunmen, apparently residents of Dir el-Balah, began firing at Israeli cars on the road. The woman and her children were killed when shots hit their vehicle; at least one civilian in another car was also injured.
An IDF jeep arrived on the scene and soldiers engaged the terrorists in a gun battle, eventually managing to kill them. Three soldiers were injured by an explosive device; it is not yet clear if this was a bomb or a grenade hurled at them, news sources reported.
The wounded soldiers were airlifted by an army helicopter to Soroka Hospital in Beer Sheva.
The terror attack occurred on the day when Likud Party members are voting in a referendum whether to approve Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's plan to unilaterally withdraw from the Gaza Strip.
Supports of the disengagement plan said the terror attack only emphasized the reasons Israel should withdraw from the Gaza Strip, ynet reported.
MK Michael Ratzon (Likud), a leading opponent of disengagement, said that Hamas and Islamic Jihad were doing all they could to prove that Israel was withdrawing from Gaza under fire. Ratzon warned that if disengagement was implemented, the terrorists who launched today's terror attack would end up living in the very house of the family that they had murdered.

In another article it said that the car was first of all driven off the road by the terrorists who then approached the vehicle and shot the mother and her daughters at close range.
Why is Arafat still alive?

Needed; A few more D-10s and a couple more AC-130s.

That's all anybody needs to know. They kill girls as a demonstration of their faith and bravery. They need to be exterminated.

"They need to be exterminated."
That, sir, is the correct solution.

Such is the way of cowardly Arabs. They do this all the time and celebrate like they are brave warriors. Cowards who hide in the population because they know Israel and the United States don't target civilians like they do. Who use mosques as military centers. Send them all to hell where they belong.

Welcome to FR.
It's appalling....where's the outrage? Not only do they kill Israeli women and children, they are even willing to send in their own women and children to die. Pali men are obviously a very sick bunch.

Ah, the mighty Hamas warriors have struck a blow for the liberation of Palestinian by exterminating a mother and her 3 children. Let's give them medals-- lead ones out of the end of a gun.

I wonder if the F****** Arabs are angered over this as much as the mistreatment of Iraqi prisoners?

Outrage? In Europe there is widespread hatred of Israel and much support for the terrorists. In the UK, most people don't bother to hide their annihilatory antipathy towards Israel; it's out in the open in the media and on every street corner.
Even British MPs tell the world they want to be suicide bombers:
Liberal Democrat MP: Why I would consider being a suicide bomber
http://politics.guardian.co.uk/libdems/story/0,9061,1129505,00.html I am a British Jew. My family have lived here for over 150 years - many members have fought in all wars during that time and have contributed greatly to the country in every way imaginable. Recent events have proved to me beyond question that this is no longer my country.

Welcome to FR, Judea.
Prayers for the family of this innocent family. May God comfort her husband and the rest of the family.
The day Arafat and his minions depart this Earth--the better.

More atrocities from the "Religion of Peace".
Apparently, the only peace Islam offers is the peace of the grave.

Gee, maybe Ted Koppel will have their name and faces on Nightline. I mean to "honor" the dead due to the war on terrorism. He should... He's Jewish and should have a special connection to victims that are picked because of their religion....... ya think?

I'd say most of Europe is "not your country." As a Christian, I stand with you against the re-emerging and fast-growing anti-semitism around the world. The world hates us both....for reasons they don't even comprehend.

Dear Lord, please give this man the strength he will need in the next while. I can only imagine the pain of losing your pregnant wife and four children. I repeat the asked question above, why is Arafat alive?
