banned..one of my all time favorite threads was when Laz got suspended by Jim for three days... 3 days dosn't sound too bad for most of us, but with Laz, you would have to count that in something like dog years. ;~))

And this helps HOW?? Unless clinton's legacy book is entitled How I Did It this does nothing but p*ss people like me off even more.

I never heard of the book. Let's make it a priority to find a copy or two. Heaven knows, though, we dug very deep right here!

"IDC laundered Mena money, yes?" One suspects that Mena may well have been the reason for IDC's formation in the first place.
In the late eighties, I had the "pleasure" of meeting some of the IDC's "representatives". A friend of mine was seeking investment in a manufacturing facility for an agricultural product of his invention.
I was shocked at the all-around sleaziness of the representatives, their manner of operation and the nature of their proposals.
After meeting with them, it was time to take a shower. An altogether odd response to a supposed official instrument of the state...

Hey you ingrates!
Given the way Kerry is slipping in the polls, this is a pretty good prevent defense against Hillary filling the Torrecelli option.

I find zero reference to Bresnan or the book in ABE, various bookfinder services and the Library of Congress. I don't suppose these are exhaustive or foolproof searches, but holy smokes, where is this book?

I don't suppose these are exhaustive or foolproof searches, but holy smokes, where is this book? It's eerie- last time I searched, there were at least two references to where you could buy "Cover-Up!" and several more of David's work in general. Memory Hole, anyone?

See if you can find Bresnan in person. Also, if you are able, double-check to be sure the name is spelled correctly. Even one little letter off would wreck a search, I imagine.
Fwiw, I've seen the Memory Hole at work in Arkansas. When the "tainted blood" scandal got particular malodorous in the Bubba days, an outside agency -- from California -- was called in to investigate. Its report was damning. Every copy disappeared, even from state libraries and official files. Then the investigating agency suffered a "mysterious" fire, yes, in California, and its own files were destroyed. A summary report of the findings also disappeared (much shorter, less detailed, but still damning). One legislator remembered that he'd put his copy away in his garage. Mike Galster (author of BLOOD TRAIL), his helper and I drove to a small town, retrieved the document, and went straight to a copying facility. That whole adventure was plenty scary.

Not only do I recall that, mysterious fires seemed to visit other sites with potentially damaging information... kind of like all those car accidents, plane crashes, and ( ahem! ) "suicides and robberies gone bad" that seemed to haunt former friends of you-know-who...
I'll recheck David's name later- I seem to recall some spelling error previously that caused problems.

That's why our excursion to a small Arkansas town was so darn scary. We were packing a lot of heat, but what if the "enemy" is the state police? We could have ended up down a well.
More power to Ambrose Evans-Pritchard for moving around Bubba's Arkansas, talking to frightened witnesses -- even though his own cultivated British voice was an instant giveaway that he was a "furriner"! Now THAT kind of investigation took real guts.
