Don't worry, I know of what I speak. My comment referred to the .30-06 Springfield vs. the .308 Winchester, the former of which is the more powerful round. I prefer the .308 Winchester as a battle round (such as in the
M-14), although the .30-06 Springfield in the M-1 Garand is also a superb battle round. For hunting and "reaching out and touching," the .30-06 Springfield is my preferred choice.

The M1 Garand's big downside is you can't reload until the last shot is fired. At least the original design. Does Springfield have a newer type?

The United States and the West in general need to adopt an "Assimilate or Get Out" immigration policy. Make it clear, when you leave your homeland, you leave that culture behind.
