And Rush insisted that Hillary wouldn't run, that the GOP would gain in 1998, and that Bush would win by more than expected in 2000.

I also remember seeing Rush being asked by a reporter about Schwarznegger becoming Governor. Rush laughed and said, "Never gonna happen." I thought this was odd because it was obvious by that time that Arnold was going to get in.

Oh well, Rush never claimed to be perfect. It does make me seriously wonder which is his better record - the political predictions or the PC-friendly football picks?

I don't think it's over for Dubya. I think he's making it a short story. When summer is over, this will just be a painful memory.

All campaigns have high and low points. This is just a low point.

For when we capture Osama - I'm thinking around August - everyone will consider this a vague memory ... a blip in the first term of a two term president.

With the Islamists, it will come down to nuclear war eventually as predicted by the Bible.

I refer you to the movie 'Deterrence' where an American President is forced to nuke Baghdad.

'High noon' is long overdue and fast approaching.

They must be conquored or there will be no peace.

BUMP

Sheesh! If a lowly hospital employee does something in error, the CEO doesn't resign.

Secretary Rumsfeld has served our nation well, he's an important part of President Bush's cabinet, he's going to stay in the cabinet, and I'm GLAD!

President Bush was fine in the apology. It had to be done. It was done. Now, let's get to the REAL issue--who sold those photos to the media? Senator Rockefeller, or somebody on his staff? He's on the SSIC, and he wrote a memo suggesting democrats do JUST THIS SORT OF THING. And never apologized for it, and didn't resign, though many in Congress called for it, including Sen Zell Miller.

Now, let's take another look at those pictures. I'm thinking, "how hard would it be to photoshop that stuff?"

I think Rush is losing it today.

I've been listening to him .. he's just ticked of at what the libs have been saying

He'll calm down and come to his senses about this

Well. I watched Rush a little bit when I lived in the states, and I know he is a demigod to some.

The only piece I heard him do lately is the one regarding Senator Clinton's and Bidens's meeting with European social democrats. Suffice to say it didn't impress me.

Bush projects an incredible strength, which is good because if the people like Rush joins the democrats in attacking him he will need it.

Not to worried though, because Rush is a lightweight compared with President Bush. (IMHO)

No spin here.

I have said since the story first came to light and the reporter framed his question to President Bush as "how do you expect to win hearts and minds with tactics like these?", that the intent from the left was to paint this as the officially sanctioned actions of the administration.

THAT is what was meant by "the president needs to apologize".

He has always said the acts depicted in the photos are offensive and shocking and are not officially sanctioned.

Saying the phrase "I'm sorry it happened" is not the apology the left wants and expects to extract.

What a bunch of cut and runners you people are

Nah, they are knee jerkers. 500 years from now a knee jerk violin will be very valueable, especially if signed by the player of that violin(signed by such names like Dan Rather, or have a CNN imprint).

this is going to do nothing to stop the attack of the media and the Dems, and I think that is Rush's main point, and he is correct on that.

They might not drop it, but we don't have to keep bringing all of their talking points here.

Let's pick up and keep saying what the President has said those who did it will be brought to justice and Rumsfeld stays.

Anything other than that is carrying the Dems water to get rid of the president in November and harrass Rumsfeld now.

Why am I beginning to think that these photos may have been timed to coincide w/ Negroponte's nomination?

Rush also said that the soliders were just blowing off steam and having some fun.

My lord! Did Rush REALLY say that?

He said "I'm sorry for the humiliation they suffered..."

That's not an acceptance of responsibility, that's an expression of regret.
