I am sure there are enough lawyers on FR that we could all take a tiny portion of any suit against these newspaper providers pro bono and forum shop for a jurisdiction that would be most advantageous to FR. We probably even have a bunch of IP lawyers who could lend a hand.
It could almost like a virtual law office attacking this abridgement of freedom of speech and abuse of the copyright laws.
Gannett's move might give us an advantage to commence suit in virtually any state in the Union depending what the corporate structure their individual papers are. I'd say we should cherry pick a jurisdiction where we think we would get a sympathetic judiciary and go from there.
