An unnamed source has told THE PATRIOT JOURNAL that the video of the beheading of US civilian contractor Nick Berg by his Al-Queda linked captors is brutal and nauseating. The video shows one of Berg s captors kicking him, shoving him to the ground to his left side. The video then shows a captor pull out a large knife and chop his head partially off. The captors then tug and pull until his head pops off. The captors then hold his head up to the camera as if it were a prop. His arteries can still be seen dangling from his head. THE PATRIOT JOURNAL has been told the entire video is very sickening and disgusting.

Most likely we won't do it until we are attacked first via similar means.

I have no problem with decisive action and actions that will serve as a deterrent to future atrocities, including intimidation and humiliation.

..and I have no problem with fire bombs and nukes. Nor do I have a problem with establishing pig farms on their graveyards.

Seriously. One of the main reasons we're at war now is due to the weakness of the State Department.

The State Department and the Defense Department are two edges of the same sword. The job of both is to promote American interests. Since the State Department failed in their mission by appeasing the Middle Eastern dictators instead of convincing them to do things our way, we are now forced to used the sharper edge of the sword. That edge is, unfortunately, costlier and bloodier.

War is the only alternative when our own State Departments works against our best interests.

How can I describe it... it was like the knife was dull, and the cutting was difficult. They slit the right side of his neck open as he screamed, then they sliced the front of his neck as he screamed more. By the time they knife made it to the left side of his neck, he was pretty much gone. They continued to hack away, yes hack, as the knife wasn't doing a good job. It was like watching a butcher chopping a side of beef with a butter knife. They kept cutting each side until there wasn't anything to cut any longer. And then they displayed his severed head like a trophy.

I watched it at work and broke into simultaneous sobs and tears while the rage- yes rage, grew. It was a rage that only Sept 11 had summoned once before. And it was that same rage that surfaced once again- and will remain so until revenge is served- not cold, but hellaciously hot and severe.

In battle, the knives would be sharp and the beheadings swift and sure - there is no time to waste - the slow, agonizing beheading by these cold blooded killers was probably intentionally slow for the maximum emotional impact.

I watched this as I thought I owe it to all those who have put their lives on the line in this fight to see what we are up against ....These people are truly psychotic ...To kill innocents people in the name of some religion is frightening....and similarly to find so many (good liberal)Americans blaming America for all this is equally sick.

They slit his throat, and went round and round, several times, putting a foot on his back to try and pull the head off. It took several tries, with more slitting round and round in between. They had to pry and pry.

I am speaking as a paramedic of 22 years.

I have seen everything you can imagine, including decapitation, but there is no way I can see this.

You're right. I used to work in an ER and I also survived 9/11, but this video is beyond hideous. I'm still shaking and regret that I watched it.
