The voices really really were weird. If the devil has a voice, I heard it on that video. It was so deep and resonant. It really struck with me. Nobody else commented on it so maybe I am just sensitve to deep voices but if central casting got a call to send them a peerson with a voice from hell, the guy doing the talking would be the person they sent. And the voice was sort of compelling, strong,,I know it is odd to describe a killer's voice that way but it had a odd effect on me. I don't want to ever hear it again.

If the left takes over the country in the election, you'll be hearing a lot of that voice.

To the left, what you see on the video is not important or of any concern (except as way to try and spin against Bush). They don't worry about Islamic jihadists, their enemy is Bush (and you and me).

How long can we last as a nation, divided as we are with no common point of political or moral reference?

It sounds flippant, but I swear it isn't. Watching the video I had a weird flash to the movie "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom." Yes, terrible movie, but bear with me.

Remember the scene where the high priest rips the man's heart out of his chest and the camera shows the crowd across the gap = the thuggee cult? Seesawing back and forth on their hands and knees, eyes bulging, practically in a lather for blood?

THAT is what I thought of when I watched the video and heard the sounds of their frenzy as they sawed Nick's head off. Their dark jubilance, whipping themselves into that agitation in the name of death. Not God. Death.

I was listening to the cacophony of the damned.

And I never wish to hear it again.
