The media certainly doesn't mind letting us know when a "Right Wing Extremists" attacks a minority person. The Catholic nuns are now being attacked. Are the Jews, Catholics and Republicans the only people who commit crimes?
No answer needed.....Just rambling....

I don't agree with you there. The Islamists are in open alliance with the Far Left. They wouldn't be killed. It may not be the happiest alliance in the world, but it -is- an alliance. For now, it's convenient that it be so, and they probably will believe it to be convenient until we (i.e. patriotic Americans, whatever) are dead or at least totally out of power. Only -then- will the Left and the Islamists attack each other - and then the Left will nuke the hell out of the Middle East.

Actually, I doubt it. King, the media, etc., will not show this guy. His links to ANSWER will prevent it.

Oh come on! Qwinn!

They have pulled out all the stops! Bush must go is their mantra and no morality or fear will stand in their way.

The only thing that will stop them is a declaration of martial law and the suspension of the constitution.

Don't ever think they have any compassion or sense, cuz they don't.

We can agree on that.

I don't hold that against Nick. (Whoever he is) Have you compared his photos from the other thread?

Since when did ABCNNBC BS become our government?

They are the ones censoring this like they stopped showing the people who dived to death out of the Towers on 9/11.

This young man was brutally murdered by a bunch of Islamofascist thugs. I don't have much concern for the likes of his dad but why even bother to bring it up when what we should be doing is honoring the young man slain and reminding everyone that this is the true face of Islam

"Don't ever think they have any compassion or sense, cuz they don't."

Compassion they utterly lack. Same with ethics, morality, any sense of proportion, or respect for law.

But "sense"? I think of it as cunning. And don't ever for a moment believe the ones running the show on the Left aren't cunning. And I'm not talking about Democrats here, I'm talking about their masters. And ANSWER is much too close to the masters. They'd sacrifice a hundred Daschles and Kerrys before they'd ever risk a true public scrutiny of themselves.

Think about their policy of incrementalism, and how much of their agenda they have managed to enact even in our own country, never mind the rest of the world. If they're as stupid as you say, well, then how stupid are we to let them have become so successful?

You would be foolish to misunderestimate them. Evil and vile they are, stupid they're not.

I stand behind my prediction. This father will not get major media attention.

Start with 1927, then followed up in 1934 with Telecommunications Act 1934 and updated in 1986.
If that doesn't make it part of the government, I don't know what it is. Fascism works the same way, anyone can manufacture but there is only way to distribute. Why do you think there is such fear about the Internet.

He never really had a job, he there on a speculative mission. His company didn't have any contracts and other work did not materialize. The Iraqis, the American Military and the FBI wanted to know what he was doing there.

Here are a few SHORT EXCERPTS from www.detnews.com:
...Berg’s mother, Suzanne, said her son was in Iraq as an independent businessman to help rebuild communication antennas. Berg owned a communications equipment company, Prometheus Methods Tower Service Inc., she said...

-- snip --

...Berg had traveled several times to Third World countries to help spread technology, his family said. He had previously traveled to Kenya and Ghana, where they said he had bought a $900 brick-making press for a poor village, the family said.

Michael Berg described himself as fervently anti-war, but said his son disagreed. “He was a Bush supporter,” Berg said. “He looked at it as bringing democracy to a country that didn’t have it.”

Michael Berg lashed out at the U.S. military and Bush administration, saying his son might still be alive if he had been allowed to leave the country on March 30, as he had originally planned...

Never said they were stupid.

They are zealots! It is a religion to them, and though that kind of a eye, they can justify anything.

And, HERE is a short excerpt from www.stltoday.com:
...While as many as 200,000 Americans are in Iraq, most are easily identified with specific groups: U.S. military, diplomats and others working for the Coalition Provisional Authority, private contractors working on coalition reconstruction projects or providing security, journalists and those working for aid groups.

Berg apparently fit into none of those groups, and what's known about his activities in Iraq comes from interviews with his parents and a lawsuit they filed alleging he was being held illegally by the U.S. military in Iraq.

"I think part of what got him into trouble was that he wasn't afraid to be in with groups that most Americans won't be with," said his mother, Suzanne. "And I don't think he understood the danger of . . . traveling with non-Americans. That's probably what killed him. He was probably in a group of non-Americans and stood out like a sore thumb."

According to his father, Michael, the younger Berg owned a business called Prometheus Methods Tower Service Inc. and earned his living climbing communications towers to inspect the antennas, the electrical connections and the structures.

He first went to Iraq on Dec. 21, on what his father described as "an exploratory mission." He stayed until Feb. 1, making contact with a company that indicated there probably would be work for him later.

He returned to Iraq in March. He kept in touch with his family by phone or e-mail every day. He had planned to return March 30, in time for a friend's wedding...

we should be doing is honoring the young man slain and reminding everyone that this is the true face of Islam

We should mourn the loss of this American. However, this is NOT the true face of Islam anymore than the Aryan Nation Church or the Oklahoma City bombing is the "true face of Christianity." Rather, this torture killing is an example of an especially violent, influential, and widespread (maybe 5 to 10 percent maximum of worldwide Muslims support acts like this) Islam.

"They are zealots! It is a religion to them, and though that kind of a eye, they can justify anything."

Well, sure! But I'm not saying the would refrain from using the father for -moral- reasons. They'd refrain from it due to a desire to avoid giving the media an excuse to do extensive scrutiny on ANSWER. The lefties don't control -every- media outlet, ya know. The last thing they'd want is to give the Washington Times or the New York Post a reason to breathe down ANSWER's neck.

The rest of the alphabet networks know that they could totally ignore the ANSWER connection and just run stuff favorable to the father without exploring the background, but they know that their competition, the Wash. Times and the NY Post, etc., would actually put stuff on the permanent record that they simply don't want to be on the record any more than it already is.

and from www.mg.co.za:
...How 26-year-old Nick Berg fell into the hands of Islamist militants is unclear, but while in Iraq he also came to the attention of the FBI and the Iraqi police. The state department said he was a private citizen who was not employed under any known contract.

He owned a business called Prometheus Methods Tower Service, inspecting antennae on communications towers, and went to Iraq last December, apparently independently, to look for work. He stayed until February. "It was more of an exploratory mission," Michael Berg told the Philadelphia Inquirer last week. His parents say he was lured partly by a sense of adventure, and partly because he was a "staunch supporter of the government position in Iraq and he wanted to go over there and help", according to the paper.

He returned to Iraq on March 14, believing that he had found work there, then told his family he would be back in the US by March 30, in time for a friend's wedding. But he failed to turn up for his flight.

The next day, FBI agents arrived at Berg's family home asking why he was in Iraq. They informed Mr and Mrs Berg that their son was in jail...

Perhaps after they kidnapped him, the killers singled him for a video execution once they determined who his dad was.

Since internal US dissent is worth more to them than a more united US, perhaps they were banking on his dad blaming Bush for his son's death.
