May 12, 2004 -- WASHINGTON - A push by Senate Democrats to extend jobless benefits lost by a single vote yesterday - as their nominee-to-be, John Kerry, missed the vote while campaigning in Kentucky.

Kerry, the only senator to miss the vote, said he didn't come back to Washington because "we were told that no matter what would happen, [the Republicans] would change a vote in the Senate and they were not going to let it happen."

Typical of the Janus faced senator kerry(not capitolised on purpose)!!!!

He stuck his finger in the wind like he normally does before he made his decision not to be in Washington D.C. for the vote. He needs to stop paying attention to his finger if he's going to get anywhere!!!!

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) said almost 130,000 New Yorkers exhausted their jobless benefits between December and April.

Last year she did the same thing. They extended benefits for an additional 13 weeks, and after that was up she whined about extending again to make it a full year of the government paying you for doing absolutely nothing. Socialism in all its glory. If it was up to her she`d make it 20 years of unemployment. "Hey, I lost my job 20 years ago. My unemployment is almost up. Damn, now I gotta look for a job"

sKerry is running an ad here in FloriDUH, where he says he cast the deciding vote, creating 10 million jobs. Maybe he thinks that was enough.
Rush says it was Bob Kerry not LONGFACE that cast the vote and the bill was not really a jobs bill.
sKerry Lied?
I AM SHOCKED! ! ! ! !

Political ad:

John Kerry claimed that he cast the deciding vote that helped create 10 million new jobs. There's only one problem, it wasn't John Kerry who cast that vote but Bob Kerry. John Kerry was the wrong Kerry back then, and he's still wrong for today.
