Kerry only missed that vote because he was working hard to be the voice of those who have no voice of their own - the "working" man and woman.
Unh huh. I'm buying that one, just like I'm buying how you actually voted FOR the $87 Billion, before you voted AGAINST it.

From yesterday's The New York Post:
Kerry, the only senator to miss the vote, said he didn't come back to Washington because "we were told that no matter what would happen, [the Republicans] would change a vote in the Senate and they were not going to let it happen."
Translation: It's Bush's fault I'm not doing my job. I am better off campaigning in Kentucky (a state I can never win) than going to work to avoid looking like a fool.
