May 13, 2004 -- WASHINGTON - Shocking shots of sexcapades involving Pfc. Lynndie England were among the hundreds of X-rated photos and videos from the Abu Ghraib prison scandal shown to lawmakers in a top-secret Capitol conference room yesterday.

In truth, I had been wondering if some of the hero worship of the military had been a bit over done. I mean, God knows I appreciate them, but it's not like they can do no wrong and to present it like that sets up an expectation that no group of people the size we have in Iraq can live up to. Thanks Jalapeno... I awoke to see the cover of the NY Post showing this story on the front page... It re-affirms my feelings from yesterday, that she has NO credibility whatsoever, IMO. She's blaming President Bush and her superiors... I hope she AGGRESIVELY pursues that defense. She's a DISGRACE.

I told the girl in his office that the Senator ran within minutes to the press to tell of how the prisoner photos were worse than anything he expected and I asked if the Senator had made any comments about an American, Nick Berg, being beheaded. I asked her if that wasn't deserving of some of his outrage.

The fact that there is video of her screwing multiple partners further suggests the possibility that this entire thing was limited to these dozen National Guard soldiers.

Monday night we learned that the video we'd heard about was mostly England and Graner (father of her baby--the story goes) having sex. I said right then this indicated a propensity for this group to take pictures and indulge in whatever sick whims came into their heads.

The very next day Gen. Taguba testified that this small group was mainly left to their own devices with little to no supervision (I believe the supervisors have already had discipline charges started against them in March) and that they acted *on their own volition*.

But sure enough, Sen. Nelson of Florida is shown this morning on tv emerging from yesterday's viewing saying he just can't believe they were acting on their own. Damned and determined to make this the fault of the higher ups--as in they were acting on orders.

And that, Dennis, is why the liberal Senators are screeching to a halt about letting the public get an eyeful of these photos.

These photos are damning evidence of what can happen when you have a co-educational military.

It's too bad all of the good women in the military will get tarred with the same brush, to some degree.
