What is with this guy? I'm amazed at his misdirected anger.

I saw Berg's father riding his little bike talking to press, I thought I was seeing the idiot Kerry.

Hate to say this, but like Corrie's, Berg's parents have a role in this because
they encouraged their child to live with, and befriend, terrorists
apparently forgetting the maxim:
LIKE WITH A TERRORIST, DIE WITH A TERRORIST.

Berg's father is a total twit. Did he ever tell his son that sticking his nose into Iraq was an extremely foolish and pointless thing to do? It's not like he was some poor SOB like Jessica Lynch who joined the National Guard to get college tuition money and wound up crippled.

We're heading into Rachel Corrie territory with this one, AB. The liberal media are going to increasingly deify Nick Berg as a sacrificial lamb.

Did Nick share his father's feelings? If so, why would he enlist? Did Michael Berg get the memo stating the draft is over and his son enlisted? Enquiring minds wanna' know.

What we've seen out of M. Berg the last 48 hours is not the behavior of a grieving father. He is doing a political dance on his son's grave. Oh wait....his son isn't even in the ground yet.

It couldn't be because of the Islamoterrorist.
It couldn't be because he is Jewish.
It couldn't be because he was in a war zone.
It couldn't be because he was an opportunist trying to scam big money selling communication towers.
It couldn't be becausehe had been told to get out of Iraq, and was even offered transportation that he refused.

There they go again, it was the sins of Bush and Rumsfeld.

Mr. berg, I have a bridge ...

"I know it is considered a radical group," Berg said.

I didn't link to the rest of the article, but I'm SURE there is no mention of ANSWER's roots in the communist World Worker's Party.

"Nicholas Berg died for the sins of George Bush and Donald Rumsfeld," Michael Berg said. "The al-Qaida people are probably just as bad as they are, but this administration did this."

It had nothing to do with the son’s being in Iraq with no corporate or government sponsorship? He was basically a tourist looking for work in one of the most - if not the most - dangerous places in the world.
He was Jewish and American, and had entered Iraq from Israel - with the Israeli visa stamp on his passport.
He was so idealistic he didn’t think this would draw attention from both sides?

Probably? Sawing your son's head off, and still just probably? Something STINKS to the point of putrefaction here.

Daddy Berg interview has been shown a couple of times on FoxNews this morning.

I know it has been several days since Daddy Berg found out his son was killed and Daddy Berg is grieving, but Daddy Berg seems more interested in promoting agenda. It just seems strange the way Daddy Berg is handling this in public.

[There are too many gaps, blanks, questions associated with this. We need a connect-the-dots chart. Something smells. The last 3 days, more and more weird information has come out surrounding Nick Berg and family.]

FoxNews Coalition Spokesman, Dan Senor is saying...

Berg was IN custody of Iraqi police. He was contacted 3 times by FBI. [Apparently, custody did not change.] Senor is still reading emails and digging (he is in Bagdad).

"This is an administration that allows something that they arrogantly called the Patriot Act to strip away America, to make America not the America that I grew up in,"

Interesting how Mr. Berg singles out the Patriot Act in his diatribe. You can bet that for some reason the FEDS have been all over this family. I would love to tell him that the Patriot Act is nothing in comparison to let's, say Beijing or Tehran, obviously countries his party supports.

If America is so awful, Berg should move to one of the thuggocracies that he so idolizes.

(None of the victimologists on the left would be caught dead in one of these countries.)

"Nicholas Berg died for the sins of George Bush and Donald Rumsfeld," Michael Berg said. "The al-Qaida people are probably just as bad as they are, but this administration did this."

I wonder if it will surprise him when he learns that the government is not involved in an active policy of shipping misguided civilians into a war zone.

Of course it's the government's fault he went to Iraq.

While I am horrified at what happened to this man, I firmly believe the father has trivialized his death in favor of a sick political agenda. It's tragic, and also horrific in a reptilian fashion that he should use the death of his very own son to forward a leftist agenda.

His son died at the hands of terrorist ghouls and now the body will be fed upon by leftist ghouls. I am altogether sickened and will no longer pay any attention to this issue other than to recognize the utter and complete depravity of the enemy, both foreign and domestic.

typical ANSWER supporter...blame Bush, not the actual perps who killed his kid. It wasn't their fault, right, it's society's fault. Funny how libs like this guy don't place responsibility with criminals, etc., we're too harsh, etc. but are crying foul and want the perps punished in Abu Gharib scandal.

It's ok to kill babies
It's bad to kill killers
Punish those mean old soldiers
and blame everything on Bush, including global warming...

nuts, all of them.

New wrinkle, per FoxNews. Daddy Berg is now wanting to know whether al-Qaeda offered to trade Nick for al-Qaeda prisoners.

Sorry, Daddy Berg, but that would not be the responsibility of the US military. Your son was in Iraq at his own volition. Yes, you are looking for someone to blame. Why not direct your anger at those who actually killed your son?
