Velveeta...I won't say...don't want any lawsuits coming my way. I am just sick and tired of sources being deemed credible, yet they can't or won't say specifically where the info came from albeit an Arabic forum, another website, govt source...or imagination. I am not listening to speculation or someone adding their two cents any more... if they are trying to convey a threat that they say is imminent or credible...then they better cough up the source and I don't mean a mass media source. Times are too critical to play games with the psyche of America!

Hear, hear, Jill! Let's leave the "unnamed sources" to the NYT and Washington Post and the like.

An understandable perspective.

HOWEVER, I FOR ONE,

am reasonably comfortable with what they've seemed to be doing--assuming a lot here.

LIFE IS INCREDIBLY COMPLEX.

THIS SITUATION IS EVEN *MORE* COMPLEX.

As my boss said . . . it was the flakey orgs and the flakey pamphlets, leaflets, broadsides prewar Germany which best and earliest predicted what Hitler would do; what he was etc.

TONS OF ACCURATE INFORMATION may appear totally flakey. Tons may be mixed with truly flakey. Some will be mosly right and a little flakey. Probably a precious minority of sources and stories will be 98% accurate. It's the nature of life and humans in the best of times.

I for one would appreciate all the information reasonably possible to obtain. I can at least pray about it and prayerfully discern what seems reasonable to pay attention to. I consider myself at least as sane, rational and perceptive as a LOT of "experts."

Even the experts can't be certain about the reliability of this or that source or even list or sources. They tend to try and get corroborations from multiple sources and perspectives--a wise, sound goal.

But often, even in the best of times, that luxury is JUST NOT AVAILABLE. And, wise choices MUST STILL be made which will effect the lives of millions. Not a particularly enviable job.

Sometimes in the mix of data and sources, some LITTLE TINY NUANCE will be a clue for a discerning perceptive person with some significant experience that a particular thing is really true and warrants serious action accordingly. I don't begrudge people missing such nuances. I'm happy when they make their best experienced guess and we see what falls off the shelf by and by.

Being safer is usually better than being more fool hardy.

Yes, alert-fatigue can be a hazard. But it's better than laziness, blindness, head-in-the-sandness. This is survival. It's a complex problem.

There are no easy solutions. The enemy is resourceful, clever, even creative and certainly relentless.

DISINFORMATION ABOUNDS FROM A DIVERSITY OF SOURCES FOR A DIVERSITY OF REASONS. And the degree of disinformation as well as the degree of simply plain human (as well as technological) error is likely not to be evident until historians sort through it all or Heaven weighs in with a historical holographic video.

I don't mind giving grace to those doing even their fractional best. The traitors and the enemy will get theirs whether from natural reaping what they've sown or from God's heavy hand of judgment.

The only thing for survival and eternal Life is to live and walk close to God. That's the only Hope I see remotely realistic and on the horizon. All else is details. Some details will be more comfortable than others.

But I know where I'm headed and Who I'm going with. And HE is much better at holding onto me, than I am at holding on to Him. And He has promised to never leave me nor forsake me. And that where He is, He will bring me to live eternally. Pretty good deal. Regardless of what the terrorists do now or later--to the USA or me personally.

Still, we watch, prepare, do what we can for ourselves, our families and our Republic . . . and some of us, for The Kingdom not made with hands.

I wasn't encouraging you to name names, I wouldn't want a lawsuit to befall you either.

I think I get where you're coming from now. :-)

Reference 4950:

I applaud you Jill, for doing the right thing. I've been following the same sites, and most seem to be preoccupied with sensational headlines and subscribers instead of saving lives. They make huge claims and gain subscribers, then sit back and forget what they started out to do in the first place.

Perhaps if they had ever witnessed a large scale terror attack firsthand, they would take a different approach, but I fear some people just exploit situations for their own personal gain and dont care a whit about others while their wallets get fat. In short, they make me sick with their arrogant pre-sumptions about knowing the terrorist mind.

They used to be called war profiteers. I have a different name for them, but I wont print it here.

Between the military and law enforcement, I have been fighting these terrorists, and a few others, since 1978. I wont post a resume, but I can guarantee I generally know what I am talking about from experience, not from a book. I've been personally exposed to them in the Phillipines, Scotland/Ireland, and the Middle East. I am a law enforcement veteran of the OKC Bombing.

The others need to wake up and smell the coffee, Jill, as well as a few federal agencies we all know and love. Terrorists generally hand us defeat because of our arrogance, and they need to realize the fact earnest humility can go a long way towards winning this war.

/rant off...and thanks for what you do.
