I prefer to be stripped seached by the machine than stripped searched the old fashioned way. I have had the latter and it is not fun.
I can also choose to not get on the plane.

interesting article. I think the privacy concerns mentioned are quite valid, but I also think that horse left the barn a while ago.
For all intents and purposes, the data is already out there. Our lives are currently scattered among various databases and scoured for information on a regular basis. That will never go away. The only hope for privacy you may have is to drop out of society and go live on a mountain.
