Pravda is going back to the old tactics-- make up the lie and repeat it often enough and it will become truth. They're outlining the road map for the conspiracy crowd to follow, who will never use their critical thinking to question the 'troubling questions.' Propaganda.
Sure it could have been a fake. He could have lost his head in a nasty laundry accident. But I'm thinking probably not.

when the body was found, someone here asked if it was found in two parts? (i.e. the head, and the body) Do we know whether it was just the body found w/o the head? If so, how can one identify the body only as Nick Berg? Also, just because a video is released on the internet of "someone" being decapitated, and then finding a decapitated body doesn't mean that the person on the video is necessarily the same person who was found decapitated, especially in an unstable and violent 3rd world country where decapitations would be fairly widespread... to a degree. Unless DNA testing confirmed it was nick berg, because you surely can't use dental records.
Also, the orange jumpsuit is kind of strange, I don't know what to think about that one.
Although the quality of the video was bad, I would expect more blood than what was shown on the video.
Anyway... I think i'm sounding more like a paranoid conspiratoriologist, than a clear-headed, rational American...

You mean because he would have had a hard time hiding or blending-in in an orange jumpsuit? That seems like a pretty good angle.
I wonder if may have been to reinforce the message that the beheading was retribution for the US's treatment of Iraqi prisoners. They put Berg in an outfit that many people would recognize as US prison garb, thereby hammering that connection home.

This article is lame and not worth responding to point by point.
That's what I've been saying. I saw the tape and I now suspect there's more than one "version" floating around because on mine, I didn't see any blood on the floor, on the jumpsuit, spurting across the room, on the bad dudes' hands, and the face was clean as a whistle when it was placed on the body. Let me repeat that - THE FACE WAS CLEAN AS A WHISTLE WHEN IT WAS PLACED ON THE BODY. The only time I saw what might have been something that might have been blood was when the head was lifted into the air. Of course the "something" could have been skin, hair, or even a dust bunny but it was just a single something rather than a stream, spurt, or dripping blood. My theory, since I obviously wasn't there, is he was already dead and they thought later it'd be a great bit of Hollywood and bragging rights to add a beheading to the video.
