Well, the 9/11 Commission has finally stepped into the Green Zone... they have now tried to tar the NYPD and FDNY and blame them for an inadequate response to 9/11. Like most of you, I am livid. I will not let Gorelick and the Nine Mental Midgets sully the good names of those who sacrificed their lives so that others may live.
Here is a little snipped from the AP Story:
The former police and fire chiefs who were lionized after the World Trade Center attack came under harsh criticism Tuesday from the Sept. 11 commission, with one member saying the departments' lack of cooperation was scandalous and "not worthy of the Boy Scouts."
Commission members, in New York for an emotional two-day hearing, focused on how leaders of the two departments failed to share information effectively in the early frantic moments after two hijacked planes slammed into the World Trade Center.
Not worthy of the boyscouts? Not a single soul on the 9/11 Commission is worthy of breathing the same AIR as New York's Bravest and Finest, and police and firefighters who came from every corner of the country to help.
I ask you, please, send the 9/11 Commission this message: Hands OFF our heroes!
Here is what you can do:
1. Click HERE.
2. Enter the fax number in the window as follows (it must read exactly like this):
DC Office Fax: +1-202-296-5545
NY Office Fax: +1-212-264-1595
3. If you use the form, don't forget to include your email address. Otherwise, it won't send.
Give them a piece of your mind (but, please, no foul language!)

BUMP!
BUMP!
GOOD work.
Pinging Peach and cyncooper and Mo1.
Thanks for the ping!
Gorelick and company have overstepped their own elevated arrogance. To await any recommendation by this group of has-been, wannabe, fingerpointering, CYA morons is ignorant.
Their thinking is warped beyond reclamation and their seriousness of task wanders day by day.
Stick a fork in all of 'em, they're done. Somebody please pull the plug on this farce!!!
There certainly is nothing wrong with doing a 'lessons learned' on 9/11. The first responders in both locations would be the first to admit that there could have been better coordination. I have no doubt that changes have been made as a result early on.
This 9/11 commission is of no value to this pursuit. Waiting 2 1/2 years until an election year to exploit this tragedy as a political opportunity is unspeakable.
Perhaps this attack will finally backfire.
Here. Now.
I think there's a good chance this phase of the kangaroo hearings will backfire big time -- you don't need much political or other sophistication to know that the police and firefighters were heroes in an impossible situation and to see the contrast between them and the holier-than-thou second-guessers. I saw a very little bit of the hearings, but my stomach couldn't take it.
ping
bump
They Gave up their lives and saved 25 THOUSAND people you jerks
I still can't believe they said this
FYI Ping ...
BTTT!!!!!
You're the best, jmstein.
Just sent off my emails ... and I was on my best behavior
What makes me angry is certain members of the audience who break out in applause when a cheap shot is made by one of the commissioners. No doubt these people are probably family members of the victims who themselves have become professional victims and do not realize that their 15 minutes of fame have well been exhausted. I have never seen so many people getting the mileage out of a tragedy such as these people. Like the rest of us have not experienced tragedies.
Thanks for posting, jm. I was at WTC that day -- I thought the job the police and fire and rescue workers did was amazing, and thought so even at the time. This commission is unspeakable. They ought to have to live through something like that. I'm almost too angry to contact these worthless punk snivelers, but I will "share my information" with them. Damn them.
