US has commented on the helo attack.
Just breaking
Ping!
Just for the record, I thought ya did fine posting the previous thread on this, but here's our take on th event.
It looks like I was wrong when I took the wedding party story at its word.
Iraqi sources are just a reliable as Pali sources, but the world media gives them both instant credibility. BTW- the story abt IDF randomly firing into a Gaza crowd of 'demonstrating' Palis- 7 terrorists killed, 2 civillians.
There were weapons (arms) being exchanged. Really.
A desert wedding at 2:30 in the morning. Uh huh. I buy that. Always a terrorist, never a bride.
The evening news tonight will have to spike the wedding party story as their lead. Don't count on them using the 'Safe House' attack to replace it.
US helicopter strike reportedly kills 20 to 40 Iraqis in helicopter attack on wedding party west of Ar Ramadi near Jordanian border. Iraqi sources say more than 40 victims, including 15 children and 10 women. US officials say it was no wedding party but insurgents firing on helicopter,
LOL, we live in a world that your are now required to wait at least 15 minutes before forming a position.
The wedding?
I hope Michael Moore was there, front and center on the (+) line!
And they wonder why we question their patriotism.... Sheesh.
This doesn't really matter to many people. They have already banked the previous report as true and will be certain to ignore this story.
Where do you see it? I can't find any news of foreign fighters.
Tom Daschle is saddened.
You know, if I ran an organization like that I'd have someone around in a wedding dress and someone else in a tux, just so I could shriek "they shot up a wedding!" if we got caught and attacked. What kinds of props does it really take to claim it's a wedding, in a place like Iraq, when you know the media will ignore any weapons, presence of known wanted terrorists, et cetera.
Of course Michael Moore was there. He was the one in the
wedding burka.
Practically every news service has already released this as an attack on an Iraqi wedding that killed as many as 40 'guests'. They'll either stick with their original story that this was a wedding or, if contradictory evidences overwhelms that lie, they'll ignore the first reports as though they never happened. Either way, it will be interesting to see how the mainstream propaganda mills react.
So I gather.
Old Media tries to link us with IDF's (justifiable) whacking of terrorslimes w/colaterals, finds out we were running bad guys to ground, how very embarrassing for O.M.
