Subject: Operation Iraqi Freedom
Hello, I'm the Officer in charge of the Combined Joint Task Force 7 Website.
We provide, press releases on events in theater, transcripts of press briefs, pictures, links to individual units news letters, the Coalition News paper Scimitar, and various other information aspects concerning CJTF-7 and Operation Iraqi freedom. We are getting about 100,000 unique visitors a month.
I would like to make my site more accessible to the education community. As a civilian educator myself, being able to infuse history in the making into my classroom would be an invaluable asset and very rewarding.
There is a lot the standard press and news papers do not print that we do. I would greatly appreciate any help you might be in this endeavor.
thank you
CPT Adam W. [I deleted his last name here]

Thanks for the link. I've always known we're doing good things in Iraq and that the newspapers hate to say anything that's good. Thank God we now have the internet to help us get the truth out to each other, in spite of our press.
I wrote a note to this thred to say that the grammar in this note didn't seem to be checked well. I hope my comment didn't sound churlish or ungrateful for the great work that all our troops are doing in Iraq, including our public affairs folks -- I have nothing but admiration for all they do.

And, yes, he included the quote there from Morticia Addams. :) An important message, a great quote, and a good laugh. Thanks to you both.

(I am sure "Fahrenheit 9/11" is as fine a film as this year's Cannes jury is capable of appreciating.)

Re your post #23 - I was tempted to correct it, but I concluded it really didn't matter too much, in light of the circumstances they face. But, don't worry about it. Thanks for your nice post. :)

Staff Sgt. Rodney L. Pfeifer, a motor transportation mechanic, speaks to an Iraqi child during a visit to a village near Fallujah in the Al Anbar province of Iraq April 22, 2004. Members of the battalion made the visit to the village to provide the children shoes and school supplies, as well as give them basic medical check-ups. The shoes and school supplies were donated by friends and family members of the battalion's Marines and sailors. The battalion provides security for the 1st Force Service Support Group at Camp Taqaddum, Iraq, and has conducted several visits to surrounding communities in hopes of building a positive rapport with the local population.
