I could not possibly agree with you more. It's the same phenomenon that was displayed at the Oscar's when Michael Moore got booed.
The leftist elitists were shocked.
It's time to let them know that we're sick of their crap. It's hardly as if they're reluctant to be more than rude to us. They're not only rude, they're willing to cheat politically, break laws, even riot. I can't remember the last riot that involved conservatives.
We're better than they are and we don't go to those extremes. But we can't let their public heckling go unanswered.

"It's the same phenomenon that was displayed at the Oscar's when Michael Moore got booed." And when Hillary got booed. And when Janet Jackson got herself in such a stink. The Texas Democrats who fled to avoid the special session for redistricting caught much grief. And probably many more such examples.

My goodness, what a response.
You have that gazpacho swirling around in your gourd and you accuse me of bigotry? Why?
You called someone a troll who made a completely untrollworthy remark.
Because you don't have enough conviction to make a choice about anything, except perhaps your daily beverage of choice at Starbuck's?
Oh, you're sooo smart.What makes you think I don't have any convictions? I'm nobody's follower and I don't do fads or Starbuck's for that matter. Everything I believe in has been field-tested through Logic. I make my own way. I don't blindly join someone else's club.
I believe it was Will Rogers who said if two men agree on everything, then only one of them is doing the thinking.

Or when scores of uniformed Vietnam veterans did an about face, parade rest and then hung their heads as Bill Clinton delivered his 1993 Memorial Day speech in front of the Vietnam Memorial. If anyone can find a copy of the limited video of this event, please let me know.

...The philosophical conservative is someone willing to pay the price of other people's suffering for his principles. And so we now have hundreds of thousands, perhaps millions, of our citizens lying around in the streets of our cities, sleeping in doorways, begging with styrofoam cups. We didn't have a class of permanent beggars in this country -- in the United States of America -- fifteen or twenty years ago....
Ah, how we all miss the great pre-Reagan, glory days of Jimmy Carter! What an insufferable bag of farts this Doctorow is. He and the other insufferable uncivil leftists like Pelosi, Gore, Kerry, Kennedy... are beyond any hope of decency. They simply need to be confronted and defeated. Irrelevance, via loss of power, loss of elections is the only way to keep them down.

The liberal spin on this is that he shouldn't have injected politics into this happy occasion, thus the boos. He should have stuck to the usual wisdom and advice for life. But this analysis is crap, a lie like all the lies liberals tell; the boos were against this liberal a**hole and in support of President Bush. People are furious at this liberal crap and will hand President Bush a landslide on Election Day as a result.

"...And so we now have hundreds of thousands, perhaps millions, of our citizens lying around in the streets of our cities, sleeping in doorways, begging with styrofoam cups. We didn't have a class of permanent beggars in this country -- in the United States of America -- fifteen or twenty years ago. We didn't have kids selling crack in their grade schools, or businessmen magnifying their fortunes into megafortunes by stock manipulation and thievery -- I don't remember such epidemics of major corporate fraud. A decade ago you did not have college students scrawling racial epithets or anti-Semitic graffiti on the room doors of their fellow students. You did not have cops strangling teen-age boys to death or shooting elderly deranged women in their own homes. You did not have scientists falsifying the results of experiments, or preachers committing the sins against which they so thunderously preached. A generation or so back, you didn't have every class of society, and every occupation, widely, ruggedly practicing its own characteristic form of crime."
While I could refute every one of these outrageously inaccurate claims, citing chapter & verse...including the philandering ways of The Reverend, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.;
Skid Row bums & beggars (with TIN cups) in every city, though confined then to specific areas thereof;
to an unforgetably egregious 60s graffito I saw at work, in a government bathroom, "Sure I believe in equal rights; ANYONE should be able to own a N***** or two!".
Instead, I'll quietly point out that during the times he was fondly recalling, crack hadn't been invented yet, and ALL drugs were considered serious crimes.
The "sexual Revolution was just a gleam in (male) students' eyes.
Unwed pregnancy was a serious social breech.
FAMILIES lived, ate, played, and prayed together. Prayer & God were not banned from public view.
Cops, at least in smaller towns, had grown up with, gone to school with, and knew the people there.
English was expected to be spoken & understood.
People obtained educations, jobs, and positions of trust by earning them; not by affirmative action and social promotion.
Did I leave out any factors the Liberal friends of E.L. Doctorow made sure were done away with, creating the very problems he laments...and tries to blame on President Reagan; and now, President Bush?
