Correction: note found IN bathroom said explosives on board the plane. Jet is at far end of runway, away from other planes and airport.

Passengers have been taken off plane. President Bush is in Nashville, which is why Air Force One is at the airport. Law Enforcement on scene.

Officials say that an American Airlines flight from Dallas to Boston was diverted to Nashville International Airport due to security concerns.
The MD80 jet has been stopped on a runway at Nashville International Airport, with emergency crews evacuating the passengers off the airplane. At this time, arrivals and departures from the airport have not been affected.

American Airlines plane surrounded after bomb threat discovered.Posted: 5/27/2004 5:11:46 PMUpdated: 5/27/2004 5:11:46 PM
The president’s fighter jets escorted the plane to Nashville International airport when a bomb threat note was found on board a commercial flight.
The plane was in rout from Boston to Dallas when a flight attendant on board found the note and alerted the captain who called for help. Passengers on board the plane have been removed.
Officials say they do not believe this is a bomb threat that involves the president. But officials are taking every precaution.
Both Metro’s bomb squad and the FAA are still investigating.
