In April, Zack Exley was named director of Internet organizing for presidential candidate Sen. John F. Kerry of Massachusetts, making him the Democrat's point man on the cyber front in the battle for voters. His background: the operator of a satirical website called GWBush.com and the subject of a federal complaint filed by lawyers for George Bush, according to a report in the LA Times.
Exleys GWBush.com site in 1999 featured doctored photos of then-Governor Bush with cocaine residue under his nose. Exley also posted fake campaign statements under such headlines as "George II: Restoring the Throne to its Rightful Heir."
According to the report, since joining Kerry's headquarters in Washington, Exley has, among other initiatives, refined a system to let volunteers see where house meetings are being held in their neighborhoods.
"The real [political] debate is among regular people, and the Internet makes it possible for that debate to happen in print from person to person, across states and across communities," he said.
Ed Gillespie, chairman of the Republican National Committee, cited the fake photos on GWBush.com in lambasting his appointment as "a clear indication the Kerry campaign is going negative."
Meanwhile, the Bush campaign is looking to a team headed by Chuck DeFeo, a former aide to John Ashcroft when the Attorney General was in the Senate.
Defeo, says the report, frequently sends out e-mails to 6 million people -- a much larger list than Kerry has, and tailors smaller missives by geography and areas of interest.
"We have been a very grass-roots-oriented campaign," DeFeo said. "We believe there's no one more powerful to spread the president's message" than people on the street.
Maybe he can photoshop a soul into Kerry.
I never assume that anything is beneath the likes of ketchup boy and his ilk.
OXYMORON ALERT!!!
So both sides are even now for the Hanoi Jane/Kerry faked photo?
Liberals - The people who claim to be sensitive to the feelings of all, inventors of the term "PC," and keepers of conscience and love for all humankind.
/sarcasm
One of the Kerry/Fonda photos was legit. The one that was faked had nothing to do with President Bush as far as I know. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Something about this name is curious......I can't put my finger on it but....
Ex zackley
Eggs Ackley = 1960's Zap Comix character....
Could this be a fabricated name for the print?
The one with them sitting together was faked and passed as a legit photo - the only one I am talking about. If the Bush faked photo mentioned in this article was passed as a real picture rather than a satirical one then its ok - we do it to Kerry all the time. If the Bush photo was faked and passed off as a real photo it is on par with the Kerry/Hanoi Jane one as being underhanded. So if that is the case does that make the 2 sides even?
OOps - this should read :: The one with them sitting together was faked and passed as a legit photo - the only one I am talking about. If the Bush faked photo mentioned in this article was passed NOT as a real picture BUT rather a satirical one then its ok - we do it to Kerry all the time (sorry about that-IT IS NOT OK TO PASS FAKED PICTURES AS REAL-I CAN'T TYPE WORTH A DIME). If the Bush photo was faked and passed off as a real photo it is on par with the Kerry/Hanoi Jane one as being underhanded. So if that is the case does that make the 2 sides even?

It's highly doubtfull....Mrs. Ketchup can't even buy him a good image!
Well, he could always be a stunt double for Jay Leno if the election doesn't go his way.

You sure about that? I thought the photo of Jane Fonda sitting (foreground) with JF'nK sitting two rows behind her was legit. The pic showing the two of them standing side by side was faked by splicing together two authentic images (they both were photographed speaking before the same crowd, the same day).
Ask Registered... he'd know.
well yea! but try using another analogy - the child molester thing is a little strong.
You have it a little confused - the one where the moronic duo sitting side by side is the doctored photo.
