You can't say that about Perry, you act as though he was an up and coming star of the DNC before realizing which way the wind was blowing and switching to the GOP..waitaminute, he was an up and coming star of the DNC and he did switch when he saw what was happening...

I still say he's a RINO. ;-) I also think he's not Presidential material. I'm not even sure he's governor material.

"I'd like to hear a bit more from Rice herself and not a small blip attributed to her."

Yeah, well, The Wish List (a Republican women's group dedicated to electing pro-choice women) is convinced. They endorsed her a few years ago as a candidate for California Governor.

Condi Rice is a pro-abort. All the wishful thinking in the world won't change that.

Hiya Owl; everyone else, too. Thanks for the greets.

hehe. Not many people liked Pat, period. I remember watching the Reform Party "celebration" when him and his cronies stormed and took over the convention.

I must say, his choice of a VP scared the cr@p out of me, but I voted for him regardless. Now I know where the other vote came from when they announced the results on the idiot box.

Immigration issues were the sole reason to vote for him. IMHO

As for the not being liked part. Yeah, it would probably eliminate him as a contender...but if I was worried about what people thought, I wouldn't be one of the last right wingers in CA.

Ahhh. Time to move to Utah. Anyone want to buy my 500 square foot condo for half a million? Move to a state where they appreciate vets and their thoughts. Was up there on vacation a couple of months ago, when a congressman (I think) suggested that Utah start importing migrant workers for a few months out of the year. Give them temp licenses, papers...etc. He was promptly told to leave office by his constituants.

Really love this place (FR, not CA)....was up till past 2am reading posts two nights in a row. hehe. can't remember doing that since bulletin boards were, well... bulletin boards.

I'm glad you're convinced. Now save your argumentative chatter for someone who cares. I told you, I won't support Rice on grounds of her political inexperience. If Rice actually does support abortion on demand, as you say, I'm certain many people will not support her candidacy. For me, it will be another nail in the coffin.

Excuse me, but don't they have to run for office like anyone else? We've already had about 4 dynasties in our history, so it's not unprecedented! There was the Adams', Harrisons', Roosevelts', Bushs', (that's the presidents)However, other political dynasties with mixed presidents, and others: Kennedy, Taft, Clinton, Johnson. The Adams' were 4 presidents apart, Harrisons were several presidents apart, Roosevelts (cousins)were 5-6 presidents, the Bushs' were 1 president apart.

What's the problem? It's not as if they were taking over for each other, like in a royal family! They had to campaign, and be elected! I wouldn't pass over someone who might be a good president, just because his family member was president!

Remember how the left screamed "naziiiii!!!!" every time he opened up his mouth? There are more right wingers in CA than you think. Have RonDog add you to his ping list.

Ahhh. Time to move to Utah. Anyone want to buy my 500 square foot condo for half a million? Move to a state where they appreciate vets and their thoughts.

If you plan on selling and moving, now is the time. My parents house is going to be sold "probate as is". It will probably fetch an insane price. The housing market is going to crash again. The new construction projects have no land, and look like cardboard for 600k. I'm moving back to the high desert in San Bernardino, when my attorney quits postponing the probate hearing. My uncle hired him years ago, and I'd like to fire him.

FR is my online home. Be careful because it's addictive ;-)

Why would you even ask me that. That was a stupid post...you can go back and see quite clearly that "Helmet Hair" is exactly what I called it. Why would you even post that question?

Yes, that is what is called "Helmet Hair". Parted on the side with the grand sweep across the front and to the back. Cemented in place with enough hair spray to have kept the World Trade Center standing.

That's helmet hair.

Oi Vey.

Er, sorry there, Reagan Man. I thought you cared, since you plead ignorance in #28. My mistake, and just ignore the following "argumentative chatter." It is for someone who cares.

"If Rice actually does support abortion on demand, as you say...."

Condi Rice calls herself "pro-choice." There's no mystery about it....other than that some here so desperately want a woman of color on the ticket that they don't want to believe what she says about herself.

It's just bizarre.
