Given my parents integrity, as a kid, I never imagined until I was around 15 years old, that the news media were as grossly biased as they slowly revealed themselves to be ... the more closely I read and began to check the facts.

I had an advantage of knowing what what happening, being on the inside of "the loop" on some matters, but I was un-armed with the facts, because I could not talk about them, and they were not available in the news media of the day, my formative years in junior high and high school.

I used to marvel at the absence of good information that the left took advantage of, to effectively stack the deck against the men and women fighting against communist tryanny. My contemporaries fashioned many essays that were almalgamations of the adjectives supplied to them by the "liberal media," purported to be "facts."

I never saw much effort by anybody Republican or democrat-republican, to counter that with what was really happening and had happened. The silent majority had a good instinct for what was happening, but they were not polished dilitants and "intellectual" gadflies such as, Michael Kinsley (schoolmate, as you know) comes to mind.

Because people were busy, they did not have, and I certainly, with my poor writing skills, had no, time to work up a solid, deliberative argument against the propositions of un-limited government's singular blessing of freedom from capitalist oppression (read: get a job) from which my contemporaries sought political refuge.

The closer came the date of matriculation, the more defiant and in need of some support base other than themselves, they sought.

They began to hurl and spit out adjectives that painted all that represented individual responsibility, as being "fascist," "terrorist," "tyrannical," and other words from Lenin's Thesarus of Spinning Good to Mean.

William Buckley's National Review, occasional Wall Street Journals, and the "News Watch" columns in Walter Annenberg's TV Guide, were the only sources of information that offered any argument against the left wing nuts' hive of witch hunts --- "news stories" --- that they spun around any man or woman who had the nerve to defy the "brilliant intellectuals" at ABCNBCCBS^CCCP^Academia.

Along came the Heritage Foundation.

Along came Accuracy in Media.

That was the 1970's. There were still plenty of people who knew about fighting socialist terror, be it Stalin's, Hitler's, Mao's, Minh's, or Castro's.

President Clinton's embarrassing performance woke up many people among the silent majority, and word kind of got around. See again, the Reagan victory map (Republicans, blue states) for the 1980 Presidential election.

Conservatives and Republicans began to understand that much of the troubles with our government and culture sliding away to the extreme left, was a lack of a conservative media base, and consequently a lack of a conservative context to compete in the public eye with the left wing nuts then, as now, claiming to represent "the middle."

Conservatives naturally recoiled from the vitriol of the "student left" sponsored by Senators Humphrey, McGovern, Clark, Douglas, Fullbright, and Kennedy (et al). Yet, the conservatives ventured to simply retort with using the word, liberal. Incredible, in response to all that had transpired, much of America knew that the left was nuts and that in summation, the left could be summarily described to be both grossly in error and in support of socialist extremes ... as being liberals ... and the liberals knew it, too.

Since then, and still vastly outnumbered by the left wing conspiracy to destroy America, a step at a time, here and there, some new, relatively conservative and practical news media have established themselves to further support of our liberties, country, Constitution, and American culture.

Still, we are far from having or maintaining some balance in the face of the continuing liberal domination of the news media and campus media (academia).

Over all that time, pelted all the way by the petulant left wing nuts, well eventually, a person picks up one of those stick and stones hurled at them, and fires back.

Oh the shouts of surprise and of "discrimination" and of "suffering" and of "being victims" and "being censored" as their own weapons land among the left.

Because the leftists are liers who have projected upon others, these same leftists' own inventions and failings. They cannot bear to look in the mirror, terrorists and terrorism, because they cannot live with themselves. They are all the time going to great lengths to not be burdened with living with themselves, by either not living with themselves or drowning everybody else in their misery.

When the relief of God's grace, terrorizes them.

Probably that, because they fear greatly not finding the love on earth that they are convinced they need, the fix, in real time, right now.

You might say, that most terrorist are scared to death, so far extreme, that they desire to experience the moment of death, as they desire to glimpse at least an instant of life.

Yes, it took me a long time to understand that liberals are motivated by death. I still have difficulty believing that such monsters exist, but they are ubiquitious.

They do not want to live, they want you to die.

I believe I'll fax a copy to Ms Sheila Jackson Lee for comment.

I wonder what Jessie Jackson would have to say?

Let's get Shawn to put this woman on his radio and TV programs.

When was it published in the Sarasota paper, could we find that link? A published piece with links helps get this around better is all. I already knew of most of the facts in the letter.

I don't think the paper has a website.

I already asked the author if it was on the internet (so I could include a URL) but she said it wasn't.

You could copy & paste it to an email to distribute or to contact newspapers.

Spot on

Over lunch, we were discussing D Day, and Mrs. Don-o mentioned that the concept of "utopia" - heaven on earth, is the driver for tyranny. Otherwise, it could never get a following.

Indeed, it is a work of grace, when one understands that this world is not our true home. We were created for something else; something that we can only see "through a glass, darkly.." now.

There will be no reply and this will be ignored by major media services. It will die a silent death.

We Floridians are very proud to have JEB as our Governor!

See NAACP Chairman Compares Republicans to Terrorists - CNSNews.com, June 3, 2004, by Robert B. Bluey - posted to Free Republic on June 4, 2004, by John Lenin.
"NAACP Chairman Julian Bond singled out Republicans as enemies of black Americans and compared conservatives to the terrorist Taliban who once ruled Afghanistan."

"They've written a new constitution for Iraq and ignore the Constitution here at home. They draw their most rabid supporters from the Taliban wing of American politics. Now they want to write bigotry back into the Constitution."
