For once in my life I wish — oh how I wish — with my whole heart that words could pull out of me what I truly feel. As a woman, I want to thank you for being such a superb role model for girls and women everywhere as to what being a wife is really all about. As an American, I want to thank you deeply for doing what we, President Reagan's grass roots supporters, could not. We could vote for him, campaign for him, crusade for him. Only you could protect and support him personally throughout his public life. You shared him with us, and let him be the man of the people as he was born to become. Your grace, dignity, charm and humor matched his, and this particular American loves you for that.

Now, as you go through this last bit of the journey with your husband, please know that those of us who were his political foot soldiers walk every step of the way with you in deep sorrw and profound gratitude. But also with enormous pride at what we accomplished together by having the courage and foresight to follow President Ronald Wilson Reagan.

Mrs. Reagan,
The Bible says "No one has greater love than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."
You and President Reagan have done this. You put aside your plans, your privacy, and your time, to lay down your lives to serve us. For this we thank you.
You have been an inspiration to millions of us, with your devotion to your husband, your dignity and class in the office of First Lady, and your grace under fire. I know that you took many arrows when the critics couldn't get to the President.
I know how difficult it was for you to walk up the stairs of the airplane this morning. But I also know that you did it for your Ronnie.
Thank you for being an example of dignity for this country.... again. Thank you, again, for your service to this country. Thank you for sharing your husband with us when we so desperately needed him. Thank you for allowing us to grieve with you.
I pray God's richest Blessings on you and your family.

Nancy Reagan is an inspiration for all time. She is the epitome of compassion and love. I am so happy that she received these same precious gifts in return from the love of her life.

I hope Mrs. Reagan knows how much America and the world admired the President and that the generations to come will be grateful for his vision, his strength and what he accomplished for us.

We will always love them both.

Dear Mrs. Reagan, how proud we all are of your unfailing grace and poise at this time of personal and national anguish. Your love for President Reagan is so very evident, it's in every look, every smile, every tear. We cry with you and wish we could bear even one ounce of the pain and sorrow. We'd turn back time to the springtime of your lives together, when you were both young, and the enormous duties of the presidency were yet to come.

His vision, compelling presence, determination to protect America and free Eastern Europe and the rest of the world from the horrors of communism. He did what he set out to do. He lifted the country out of the doldrums, set the economy on fire, a fire that lights the world to this day. He did it all with grace, kindness, and that wonderful Irish smile. He knew you could catch more flies with honey than vinegar! He gave so much to the nation, to the world. We can never hope to repay the debt we owe him and you. Were it not for him, God knows what would have happened to us as a nation.

The President was magic. He became our father. Even after he left office and retired to California, the nation felt you were taking care of him, that he and you were both safe and sound and still there for us all. Alzheimer's...once again, the President and you shouldered that burden with ineffable grace. In doing so, you performed an enormous service for the nation. God has held your hand all these years, Mrs. Reagan, and He won't let you go. Now He's taken the President home and has him in His arms. You both have been in our hearts and prayers all these years, and still are.

We're so fortunate to have known you both all these years. God bless you and keep you. We will keep the faith and do all possible to steer the country's course where the President would have wished. He believed in every one of us, in our capacity to achieve great things individually and as a nation. He was touched by God, there's no other way to put it. And we who were fortunate enough to vote for him every chance we got, know full well the giant he was. He was one of the greatest presidents the country has ever had. History will remember his achievements, but we remember his smile and grace.

Dear Mrs. Reagan,

Bless you for being the wonderful woman you are. I have experienced Alzheimer's in a close family member and I can relate to the heartache this disease visits upon the family. Your husband is now whole again and in a much better place. It's left for us who are still inhabiting this earth to mourn President Reagan's death at the same time we celebrate his wonderful life.

Thank you for the support, love and care you gave to President Reagan during the time you shared together. You are an inspiration to me and to many others, as evidenced by the outpouring of respect and love reflected here and all over the world.

You and your family have my prayers.

I was a teen-ager during the '80s, mostly I remember the inspiring TV messages, including the one after the Challenger disaster. I remember that, at our house, what the President was saying, was important, and everything stopped, so we could listen to the President.

President Reagan was like a rock in shifting sand.

I personally believe that God had President Reagan in the position he was in for a purpose. And the President fulfilled His purpose in a grand way.

Thank you, Mrs. Reagan, for helping the President to be the man that America needed at the appointed time in our lives.

God bless you and your family during this time of grieving. We are praying for you all. With Love, Trilla

Mrs. Reagan-

If I could hold your hand I would.

If I could cry your tears for you I would.

If I could carry for you some of the feelings you have experienced over the last 10 years I would.

But I cannot do anything for you but offer my prayers for you and your family, and offer the knowledge to you that we as a nation hold you close in our hearts. We hope to join President Reagan in the bright shining city one day, where he now is.

Thank you for all you did for him. My father did the same for my mother, and you have been in my prayers for years.

Thank you for sharing this homecoming for President Reagan with us.

God bless you.

Mrs. Reagan, you are a towering pillar of strength and inspiration to us all and I consider you an exceptional woman that makes me want to be a better woman myself.

You and President Reagan have always been such an incredible example of grace, dignity, integrity, humor, kindness and love. As others have said there really are not enough words to adequately describe what I personally feel at this moment of your greatest sorrow and the sorrow we feel as a nation for the loss of a great man, your husband.

May I extend my most sincere condolences to you and your family and say that I hope you can take comfort in knowing that you and President Reagan are truly beloved to us.

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there. I did not die.

Mrs. Reagan,

I want you to know that the thoughts and prayers of our family are with you at this time. It is with great pride that I tell you how President Reagan was an inspiration to me while I was growing up, and then, while serving in the Air Force.

There was no better Commander in Chief during my twenty years. President Reagan made us feel proud to be American again, and for that, I am truly grateful.

This country owes you a debt of gratitude for the unconditional love and support you gave to your husband.

Thank you for being the strong and poised woman that you are.

May God Bless you and your family.

Barry S. and family

It was always a joy to come to the realization that Ronald Reagan was President of the United States. When the news was bad, just knowing that he was in office and on the job gave us comfort.

President Reagan's legacy needed no grooming, no spinning, no polishing. When he went home to California, that which he left behind remained, and still remains, part of the fabric of America.

God gives us gifts we do not deserve.

President Ronald W. Reagan was such a gift.

Thank Him.

Thank you for standing by my President, and standing with him when your strength was needed.

He is at rest now, comfortably in God's Arms.

We will all see him again.

You will always be in our hearts and prayers.

As a child growing up the first President I could Identify with and understand was President Regan. To me he will always be my President as a young child the fears of the cold war scared me, but to see President Regan on the TV reassuring and speaking to the country it gave me great comfort. Especially during the Challenger tragedy. As and Adult now I understand and appreciate that strength and support that was provide behind the scenes by Nancy Regan.

I want to pass along my heartfelt sympathy and my deepest respect for you Nancy. You have been a rock not only for Ronald but you selfless sacrifice in his final years to support him and protect his legacy is a level to which all Americans should aspire too. God Bless you and your family, and God Bless America. Thank you Nancy Regan you are much loved.
