How odd that Scott would remember a mention of meringues but not whether he went golfing or fishing.

This is an excellent point! I think most of the reports were abbreviated today on all channels because of Pres. Regan's funeral, and on Crier because of her coverage of the Anniversary of the murders of Nichole and Ron, her interview with OJ. Maybe since the court is dark tomorrow, the will have a good recap of the week's events.

Medina said Peterson visited her house with an investigator hired by his former attorney several days after Laci vanished.
"He was crying and he was really upset at that point," she said.
Many of Laci Peterson's friends and family have described Scott as unemotional and indifferent in the days after his wife vanished.
Prosecutor Dave Harris tried to imply that Peterson conjured up the tears for affect.
"The defendant starts to cry for you?" Dave Harris asked.
Defense lawyers objected to the tone and Dave Harris moved on with questioning.

Kemple, a self-proclaimed grill guru, said he tried to give Peterson tips on how best to cook the chicken during a July 4 backyard barbecue just months before Laci's disappearance.

Ok, so where are the chicken-cooking tips? He better dish after a tease like that.

Statements made by Scott Peterson to relatives of his missing wife, Laci, were so inconsistent, one family member testified on Wednesday, that he secretly followed Mr. Peterson to a shopping mall and a golf course to see if something was amiss.

If Peterson is guilty most likely the murder wasn't premeditated but happened spontaneously by the fact his stories weren't straight immediately following her disappearance. If it was all planned out ahead of time he would have known exactly what to say.

Hammer and Laura Ingle talking about what they heard today in court. Laura explained how chaotic it was when family members arrived at the home with all their questions noting that Scott never asked any. Hammer said Medina was an important witness who said at 5:00 a.m., 9:30 and 10:30 she never saw anything unusual at the Peterson home. He felt she was an earnest and believable witness. Medina admitted making a mistake from her preliminary testimony and telephoned police to correct it. They never mentioned what she corrected but Hammer and Ingle concur that the problem for defense is the time line being neatly sewn up by prosecutors. Next up Gloria Alred.

Alred saying that not too many were in attendance on Scott's side but full house for the Rochas. Commented that jurors were not looking at Scott when they entered court room. Tears shed by Scott in front of Medina was in presence of his defense attorney so it probably was done for his benefit alone. No mention of the date he shed faux tears.

Pirro said that prosecutors have clearly shown how Scott was not focused on his missing wife knowing she wouldn't be found. Everyone in attendance that day had their antennas go up with the way Scott reacted or didn't react. Not too much wiggle room for Geragos now that the time line is being clearly established.

Scott took particular interest in Medina's testimony whereas most of the time he sits and talks to Geragos. Commercial break.
