Very unusual levels of helicopter activity here in suburb of Detroit tonight. Sounds like BIG choppers - can't see much, though.
Started at about 10:45 and is still (11'ish) going on. Two big, (guessing) military choppers flew almost directly overhead..hearing others in the distance.
They don't have searchlights, or I'd assume their tracking some kind of criminal activity. But they're doing something. Just not sure what!
This is highly unusual for our area, as we're not near any military bases (except for Selfridge ANG over 30 miles away), and we NEVER hear choppers over the neighborhood.
Very odd. Wonder if some "bigwig" is coming in. Hey, maybe it's Slick Willie and his book tour coming to the local Barnes and Noble or something..then again, probably not since we're here in "flyover" country and not exactly the bastion of liberalism like NYC or SF.
On the other hand, I can't totally discount Jill's warnings about the fireworks event here in Detroit tomorrow night - which will draw in excess of 1 MILLION people (as it does every year). Hmmmmm..

that the copters are bent on rounding up some Jihadi's because the powers that be caught wind of something looming close in time, perhaps tomorrow?
I hope not. But one wonders sometimes.
