TAMPICO -- At 3:08 PM CST on Friday afternoon, the airplane carrying President Ronald Reagan's body back to his final resting place in Simi Valley, California, will tip its wings as it flies over Reagan's birthplace in the heart of Illinois, the little town of Tampico.

Goodbye, Ronnie.

Cool. Hopefully there is at least one FReeper in Tampico who can take a pic and post it. If the plane flies low enough to be seen that is.

Give us a report. Did you see it? Did you know it was going to do a fly-by? What can you tell us?

Is Dixon near Tampico? Dixon is about twenty miles northeast of Tampico.

I hope they gave the townsfolk a headsup before flying over with a 747. Tampico looks like a pretty sleepy little town.

Oh, I can't do that. I live in Texas. But I noted from the story that it would occur just after 3:00 local time, which means it had already happened.
I hope the residents of Tampico had more advance notice than you or I did.

Hey, did you notice there's a poll on that page that asks if Reagan should be added to Mt. Rushmore. 700 responses so far with a 60% no rate.

The problem, is even if wanted to, you can't the laws of physics will prevent it.
That is why the full statues were never completed
