I was watching the internment service on Fox News. Shortly after the 747 landed there was a cable TV outage. Of all times to have problems! So I switched to the local ABC over-the-air station. The reception was terrible but better than NBC or CBS. Needless to say I am so very grateful for your pictures!

Well-wishers line the road as the hearse carrying Ronald Reagan's casket passes by as it travels through Thousand Oaks, Calif., to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, Calif., for interment ceremonies, Friday, June 11, 2004.

Marine Sgt. Ethan Rocke, 26, from San Diego, cries as taps is played during interment ceremonies for former President Ronald Reagan

I wonder what Ronnie is thinking looking down on all of us...? :)

Perfect joy is pretty hard to beat.

I on the other hand have been overwhelmed and pretty weepy all week.

I knew Hollywood wasn't as bad as it is portrayed -- media makes it seem like everyone in Hollywood is a leftist, anti-war type and that just isn't true!

When I saw the Bushes today at the National Cathedral, they both had the saddest and most solemn looks on their faces. I could tell that they were both truly and deeply touched by the loss of President Reagan.

I didn't get to watch the funeral held at the Cathedral today and I'm watching the replay sans talking heads on C-SPAN. I could swear I just witnessed BG Karpinski whisper something to Bill Clinton and then laugh! Did anyone else catch this? It sure looked like her! Maybe it wasn't, though. Whoever it was...very masculine...and very chummy with X42 for a moment.

"I wonder if he will ever think about that and wonder if his dad was disappointed? I couldn't take that."

I think it was more than unfortunate.

Ron has not just uttered a casual word for the moment; but made a choice for a word designed for assault against a man who delivered a beautiful tribute to his Father; and whose Father did the same. This choice is now cast forever in a history.

I wondered 'how many felt it' and if Nancy realized it; if she did not; she probably does by now; as I am sure it will come up; if not in the family; then by others.

Katie I am sure; has already called to ask for a Monday moring interview for him to 'explain, just what he meant'. . .

I wonder whether what he did will get him in better at MSNBC. Should make him a real trophy.

I pray that he will be captured for truth and peace by the Holy Spirit. He's his Mother's pride and joy so I pray that her heart is captured by/for truth and reality, too.

If it isn't I wonder whether she will live long enough to see to RR legacy. She's made of steel but she may be deceived and therefor have set herself against W for the sake of stem cell research.

She believes it can also help in juvenile diabetes. Isn't it Wick who has convinced her of that because of his diabetic granddaughter?

It is only natural that Michael will not get as much time with Nancy as the others.

I have sensed some distance between the kids, but do not feel it between Mike and Nancy. He was able to console her there.

When The Thunderbirds complete their show and bring their planes back to the tarmac area, the loudspeakers the last time I viewed them started playing Lee Greenwood's -- Proud to be an American (not sure the real title) and I totally lost it. To see those F-16's come toward us with that song playing did me in! I had tears flowing like I did tonight!

You won't see scenes of spontaneous oupourings of emotion and gratitude like this when James E. Carter or William J. Clintoon pass on to the other side.

Kinda like when kids grow up and realize their parents really do have a fun sense of humor, and sometimes the dry humor is the best!

Kinda like when you grow up and realize your parents were right all along.

Tank you so much for the pictures!!

Was so hoping to close-ups of the citizens of Califormia, but there was close-up on C-SPAN. Having raised three boy scouts and have one tiger cub who just graduated to bob-cat, I have a specialplace in my heart for the scouts

The correct word is Interment, not Internment. No "n". Thanks

Al gore invented the Interment

& Slick Willie invented the Internment.

My first thought was the cry was a little unbecoming a Marine. But they're only human. And for all I know he was watching Mrs. Reagan. Bless his heart.
