I know the live threads are fun and sometimes I go back and read them later, but when I'm watching stuff like last week, I just want to watch and not mess with reading or typing posts.
Maybe I'm like Ford--can't walk and chew gum at the same time, but I think it detracts from really taking in momentous occasions to be on the computer.

Maybe it's the journalist in me. I've trained myself over time (and training) to be able to witness events, from the fundmentally important to the mundane, and also be able to verbalize for others who might not get the chance to witness history.
And, it's fun having popcorn to throw at others, and sharing the virtual box of Kleenex.

There are certain times when I want to give all my attention to what is being shown...like last week's events.
In that case, I find it hard to be on live threads, so I agree.
