ROTFLOL! You should have done the whole speech. Your comments were priceless and exactly what I was thinking. Ya know, the longer I'm on FR the more I notice how many of us can "read between the lines". It's amusing.

And .. your comments do show how the President's words were designed to sort of compliment without complimenting .. if that makes sense?

Actually, a lot of those who want Bush to act contrary to what he is .. aren't really FReepers. Most of them just come here to stir up trouble, or make negative comments about Bush. If you know the President, you know what he did today IS WHO HE IS.

***Everything was flattery .. not substance .. exactly what Clinton is. ***

***My favorite line was "he brought energy and joy to the WH". That statement has so many meanings - where to begin?. It was very cleverly written. His speech team did a great job. ***

Remember, the Pres. plays chess, not checkers. He did EXACTLY the right thing. There's not a thing in that speech that gives any specifics about anything, that gives the Left anything to criticize.

Almost everything the Pres. said has, as you said, so many meanings! The Pres. HAD to make it funny or he would have burst out laughing at what he REALLY meant--I bet he and Laura and the speechwriters had a great time with all the things he DIDN'T say--what kind of energy her brought to the WH (enough to cheat on his spouse) and the joy he brought to Monica . . .

There are other photos of the President with children at the Tee Ball game, and in each and every one of them, the children react to his as to a trusted confidant, as they would a parent, a treasured Uncle or GrandDaddy.

Tells you something about the purity of the man when children respond to him like that, doesn't it. Children KNOW who can be trusted, and who to tell their very precious secrets to!!

I loved each and every one of them. The one of the child walking away with a souvenir ball in a box looked like s/he (I've forgotten which now) had the treasure of the world in their hands.

I hope we see more of the pictures from these events. So few of them ever seem to make it to Yahoo or the whitehouse.gov website.

From what I saw of a clip on Fox News later, after the game, one of the mascots from the team playing, was quite hysterical.

He really got into the game, helping a child take an extra base, and causing all kinds of laughter. I looked and looked for pictures of that gopher or chipmunk -or whatever he was - and sadly, found NONE!! You can tell - I'm still disappointed. He was really acting up and everyone was laughing so hard, I wanted some of those pics.

Sigh.

Yup, the President with that precious senior, to make sure that she got a discount on her Prescriptions.

He's so special.

Have I mentioned lately? I love this President.

**But then he went off on a tangent about how the Bush admin. isn't doing enough . . . don't know what's with him lately . . . **

O'Reilley has a burr up his behind about Bush..always has.

I used to like O'Reilly, then could tolerate him, but now I won't watch him. Just like Greta VanCistern--never again will I watch her after the OJ interview.
