**Aiming to try to please everyone which sometimes can be difficult!!!!! **

You can't please everyone, nor should you attempt to, imho. :o) I'm appreciative of **any** ping as long as it's for The Dose!

**LOVE the one with the little girl telling him "a secret". **

It *is* very cute, isn't it? Our President has such a way with children. :o)

You've been taking excellent notes while you've been lurking -- or you have an excellent memory! I may have to consult you when I forget a Dose member detail. (There are days when it seems that I run out of time and energy before I even get a chance to skim through all of the Dose, let alone read it close enough to pick up all of the details!) ;)

I heard/read somewhere today that the Pres. was very gracious to the Clintoons when unveiling the portraits, but Clinton kind of took a swipe at him during his speech. Anyone know?

I did hear part of Pres. Bush's speech and it was extremely gracious. I think he was probably gagging inside as he said it, but he's definitely the better man.

PS Did you hear that Clinton's zipper is open on the portrait?????

(just kidding) :-)

Great Pics.
I am from the County where Pres. Bush lives and I have been around TSTC Airport many times. (Fomerly Connally)
It's awsome to go back and see AF 1 there!

The little ones at the t-ball game look like they had fun.
This should be something they will remember for years to come. Very cool to see General Pace.

Yes, it's sooooo sweet! He will be a wonderful grandfather. Did you hear Pres. 41 say on Sat. that he was looking forward to great grandchildren?

All First Ladies since Eleano Roosevelt have had their portraits done. I think thisis a good thing, because it records them for posterity....good or bad.

I am struck by Hillary being portrayed in the infamous black pantsuit...it shows that she is tone deaf about such things, since everyone in the country has been commenting on it. HA!

Hello Kitty--Glad to see you here today! May I ask how you got your screen name? I love kitties too--just adopted yet another one last week . . . we also have dogs, guinea pigs, sheep, and cattle.

In the last days we've had pics of: The Pres. and First Lady at the coffin of a former President, paying their respects; an 80 year old former Pres. on a parachute jump; the Pres. with his dog; and the Pres. opening a t-ball game.

I just love this President, and our country!

Several comments re: the portraits--are ALL the former Pres. and first lady's portraits separate? I'd bet in Pres. and Laura's they will be together!

I bet George and Laura had one of those toxic spill contamination showers set up just outside the room so they could be de-toxified ASAP after being that close to The Ones Who Shall Not Be Named. UGH.

Thanks for posting them--it was worth seeing the wonderful faces of our Pres. and Laura, and the contrast between them and TOWSNBN.

"President Carter says President Reagan and his political advisers took advantage of him
by saying that he was getting advice on nuclear power weaponry and arms control issues
from his teenage daughter, Amy. And he says it was used by the Republicans to ridicule him
and to gain political points. But I liked his story about how he was attacked by a rabbit best."

All First Ladies since Eleanor Roosevelt have had their portraits done.

Very well then, thanks. About the pantsuit, I believe Hillary could care less about being "plugged in" with the public. After all, she didn't shave her underarms or wear deodorant for many years until they finally cleaned her up to be First Lady of Arkansas.

The "I wuv you Mr. President" pix is just toooooooooo precious!!!

My baby sister -- the mega-successful corporate attorney from Chicago -- asked me to forward to her links to a few articles/books that she could reference in preparation for a debate with a leftist (aren't they all) AP reporter.

The following is what I e-mailed her:

Susie

1.) Saddam had Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD)

The Evidence Mounts: While liberals halted the "rush to war" Saddam was getting rid of the evidence
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1153231/posts

Original article: http://www.worldtribune.com/worldtribune/breaking_1.html

2.) Saddam actively aided and abetted al Qaeda (helped plan 911)

New book detailing this "connection":

Hope this helps!!! [Forward to everyone on your e-mail list!]

Love,
Deb

PS I'm also going to e-mail you the MOST ADORABLE pix of the President and a young fan!!!

PPS Ask the AP reporter why his agency (AP) SPIKED the story about the swift boat commanders who served with Kerry in Vietnam and now believe he is UNFIT to become the Commander in Chief! [AP attended the press conference, but REFUSED to publish the story!!!!]

I'll be back tonight!

***He's a better man than I am, Gunga Din.***

Did you hear how complimentary he was to the ex-pres and you know who? Certainly a lot more gracious than I could have been. He's a great guy naturally, and being very careful not to say anything that could be taken as an insult. I did hear Clinton took a swipe at the Pres. . . did you hear it?

Are you recovered from your vacation? Looks like a really fun one, from the pic. you posted!

After President Bush spoke, I'm afraid Clinton's speech didn't hold my undivided attention! I did catch him saying something about a pickle, which puzzled me. Didn't understand it at all. I did discover later that that is the rather unflattering name DU'ers have for Laura Bush. They had some awful comments about Laura today.

Speaking of having to decontaminate!
