Why the Saudis hate Americans and Jews
The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review ^ | Monday, June 14, 2004 | Joel Mowbray

Directly on the heels of news that the House of Saud has decided to crack down on one of its most notorious "charities" comes news that a freshly released poll shows that nearly half of Saudis support the views and propaganda of Osama bin Laden.

Which means that even if the Saudi government does finally do something about the petrodollar pipeline that feeds Islamic terrorists -- because this time they "really mean it" -- Saudi cash will still be responsible for most terrorism around the world.

Just look at the survey.

I don't think the Saudis actually hate us, it would be more accurate to say they wish we were dead but that our corpses would continue to buy oil and protect their throne.

My experience teaches me that Saudi's don't hate Americans. They have a distinct distaste for brash northerners, but get along well with more laid back southerners, especially Texans.

It's hard for many here to believe, but Americans built Saudi Arabia.

The Saudis would be still herding camels if it wasn't for Western engineers developing their oil industry.

Then they "nationalized" it, just like Mexico did.

Brits got the oil business rolling in a few Arab countries but we definitely are the ones responsible for Saudi oil industry. American oil corporations explored for oil and built the oil infrastructure. It's an American creature. Now they use these petrodollars to spread hate America and hate Jews propaganda throughout the Muslim world. They fund madrassas and Mosques worldwide that are Jihadist bases.

I hate to say it, but that's just what the British in India thought right before the Great Rebellion of 1857. Their housekeepers, gardeners, and servants all seemed to be loving and loyal, until suddenly they turned against their families and killed them.

The same thing happened with the MauMau rebellion in Kenya. The black servants all seemed happy and loving until all of a sudden all hell broke loose.

These people have a serious screw loose. They may like Bush country Americans and get on with them famously, but when the axe falls their first allegiance is to Allah.

"I'm sorry to have to kill you, but Inshallah."

The Saudis do many things with camels, herding is low on the list. Befgore big oil, they were rather more known for stealing and dealing in them, rather than herding.

Interestingly, Westerners (Brits) did far more than build Saudi Arabia, they actually created it after WWI. In the 1930s and during WWII, the Americans helped the House of Saud consolidate the country. Historically speaking, anyway you slice it, Saudi Arabia is a rather new concept. There is no national music, no national cuisine, and absolutely no clue as how to do anything. If they can't buy it, it ain't happening.

Actually, this is not really true. The Rebellion was primarily limited to sepoys in one of the armies. Had there been anything close to universal support for them, very few Brits would have survived and reconquest of India would have been extremely difficult. The quashing of the revolt was done mainly by native troops.

Many British families were saved by the loyalty of their servants, at risk of their own lives.

if it wasn't for Western engineers developing their oil industry.

Your statement illustrates the lack of understanding present. Western engineers, mostly American, did far more than you give them credit for. We planned and developed a whole society..... roads, electric power grid, airports, water supply, all kinds of industrial plants, shopping centers, government buildings, schools, colleges hospitals...... you name it we built it.

I can't believe this article was actually printed in a newspaper. I sure haven't seen anything like this in any of my local or national papers like The Times or USA Today. I guess the article blamed kids "education" for the hate, but that doesn't explain why they are "educated" that way.

"Your statement illustrates the lack of understanding present."

Actually, I agree with you fully. It's just that the oil industry is the only reason we give a damn about the Saudis.

The Saudis would be still herding camels if it wasn't for Western engineers developing their oil industry.

And without "Western" engineers and imported labor from places like Pakistan, India and the Philippines, they would be back to herding camels in a matter of a few weeks. They are simply too damn lazy to support a modern, technological society and they know it. Hence the resentment and hatred for those they depend on.
