PAT JOINS BUSH WHACKERS (Buchanan)
New York Post ^ | 6/17/04 | SARA NELSON

June 17, 2004 -- JOINING the ranks of Bush-bashing books is one from a most unlikely source. The Thomas Dunne imprint of St. Martin's Press has agreed to pay around $500,000 to Pat Buchanan for an anti-Dubya book to be called "Where the Right Went Wrong."

The proto-conservative will blast the Bush Administration for behaviors both domestic and foreign. He is particularly scornful of the U.S. foreign policy that has "ignited a war of civilizations" with the Islamic world.

Publishing insiders say Buchanan's thoughts on the 43rd president are surprisingly out of character.

"They could put Michael Moore on the jacket of this book, and people would believe he wrote it," one said.

Your right. Buchanan has exposed himself as some kiind of bizzare populist anti-Semite who has tenuous connectionms with mainstream conservatism.

I doubt if anyone will take him or his book seriously.

Ole Pat's just interested in protecting the borders you know, Republicans just don't get it. His advice to the party? Good riddance, it's a shame the Republican party still get's slandered by association with this buffoon.

Take a hard look at Duke's portfolio of winning issues, and expropriate those not in conflict with GOP principles…discrimination against white folks…urban underclass [crime]…vacuum left when conservative Republicans in the Reagan years were intimidated into shucking off winning social issues…The GOP is throwing away a winning hand, and David Duke is only the first fellow to pick up the discards

There's a lot of money and media in politics, isn't there? I don't care for many if any Senator. I find a degree of fault with all.

On the Democrat and moderate side they are, IMO, totally corrupt. Alan Specter is a good bad example, John McCain isn't far behind.

We are not 'Catholic Bashers'.
Nazi bashers? Yes.
Catholic... no.

Pat admired the 'little general'.
... nuff said.

"Pat Buchanan led the parade to prevent Bush 41 from getting reelected, and IMO is the reason we got Clinton."

Republicans agree.
Pat left our party to become the reform party candidate, running AGAINST the republican party.

He took on a registered communist veep running mate.

He is a christian socialist, at best and has never clearly returned to the fold, repented of his errors and BECOME a republican...

and he admires hitler in his book.

Ya gotta remember Pat's old Georgetown nickname,

The Cold - Cocker

See, if Pat saw you chatting up a pretty girl at a party, or if you were just hanging out looking better than he(which was not difficult), Pat, after a few drinks, would sneak up and sucker-punch your lights out. Famous for it.

Actually did the same thing to a VA cop who was trying to write him a ticket for speeding. And got away with it!

So the Bushies shouldn't be at all surprised by this behavior. Pat should have been born Japanese: sneak attacks on unsuspecting targets!

Buchanan always was a nitwit. He calls himself a real conservative, yet he's anything but. He finds more in common with liberal Democrats than he does with Republicans, on issues like free-trade and having a pro-active security policy.

And someone needs to inform this goosestepper that the "war of civilizations" was begun not by the US, but when Muslims flew planes into our buildings. But I guess Pat has become part of the "blame America first" crowd. Then again, we know why Pat finds such sympathy for Muslims and particularly Saddam's Iraq...they're good old-fashioned Jew haters like he is. Go back under your rock you freaking cockroach.

Pat has a lot of baggage to carry around so no need of accusing him of things he didn't do...... He got in bed with the communist Fulani to get her support and she became a campaign co-chair for a while before leaving.... Ms. Foster was his VP sidekick and I don't think you'll find he to be a communist...

engineered the fiasco that came to simply be called "Bitburg"

The Germans insisted on it and Reagan thought it was the right thing to do. Something about SS troopers being buried there as I remember. Is there a cementary in Germany without SS troopers being buried there?

So, according to your logic, Pat was responsible for the tax cut.

You DO remember that he also did all he could to toss the 1992 election to Slick

Not true. After the convention Pat bowed out. Geo lost it all by himself. Dole lost his by himself. W damned near lost his, in what should have been a landslide.

The GOP was highjacked by the 'corner' and many 'conservatives' wouldn't be part of it. The 'right' was and is being bashed out of the party. I don't know, but I hope W makes it again this time around despite his micky mousing around with the liberals.

Pat deplores the Holocaust, and always did.

Then why did he engage in Holocaust-denial in 1990?

Although Fulani wasn't Buchanan's running mate, Buchanan did welcome her endorsement and appeared on Sunday talk shows with her. Buchanan also said during that period that he wanted to meet Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and Louis Farrakhan and Fulani was going to try to arrange these meetings.

About as unlikely as Michael Moore!! Go Pat stopped being a Conservative when he became anti-Free Trade! Found there is a great cottage industry for people who get 1% of the vote by bashing Republicans! Get Lost Pat Get Lost!

Pray for W and Our Shining City
